The 9th Arrondissement is a perfect location. You really feel like you’re experiencing Parisian life as a local, while still having easy access to the city centre towards and across the Seine. ie. there’s a bus stop right outside the hotel, and Blanche Metro Station is just up the road. It’s a great neighbourhood, with plenty of excellent restaurants within walking distance.
The hotel itself has a warm, welcoming atmosphere, with lovely touches inspired by Kipling’s travels, and it is exceptionally clean. We stayed in a Superior Room, which had top views. As it was summer, more people were out in the evenings, so you can expect some street sound — but for me, that’s part of the charm and the experience of city life!
The staff are absolutely wonderful and conversational, and deliver a truly high level of hospitality. A 4-star gem. Book if available. Would definitely stay here again.

The room was clean, staff was great. Breakfast was good and there are other great options around the hotel. Location is great as well. The streets are noise in the room but not so bad

Room-was tight but okay, one window did not open and was filthy.
Strange smell coming from the bathroom, quite off putting.
Staff was lovely, free coffee tea and water in the lobby was much appreciated.
Good location, lots of restaurants and shops nearby.

Be careful if you’re travelling with your family during the summer.
We booked a family room with air conditioning because we knew Paris would be hot in the summer. Unfortunately, the family rooms are located directly under the roof, and the air conditioning simply didn’t work. The room became extremely hot and uncomfortable.
After two nights, we were moved to another family room on the same floor, but the situation was exactly the same. The air conditioning was unable to cool the room to a comfortable temperature.
What disappointed us the most was that the staff admitted they were already aware of the problem before we arrived. Even though we had booked our stay six months in advance, the hotel still assigned us a room knowing that the air conditioning was not working properly.
After another day, we decided to cut our stay short and leave the hotel.
I cannot recommend this hotel to families travelling during the summer if air conditioning is important to you. I would also advise others not to rely solely on the Hotels.com filter for air conditioning, as a hotel may advertise this amenity even though it does not function properly in the room you are assigned.
