Do not let yourself be fooled!
Reservation for 2 nights at this 3-star hotel, amounting to €170 per night for a "luxury double room with bathroom" (as stated on the invoice). Only negative points regarding this establishment:
Rooms on exterior walkways with many stairs (no elevator). Worn room; outdated bathroom with a shower in a bathtub; toilet door that opens directly onto the head of the bed; defective heating in the bathroom; no sound insulation in the rooms (the noise from the nearby stream is very bothersome and exhausting in the long run!).
Minimal welcome, no heating in the room upon our arrival, feeling of being a bother when asking for an extra duvet. As for dinner, it matches the rest, far from being up to standard! A highway cafeteria does better. Old indoor pool with icy shower.
We fled the next morning and headed to another hotel! A real one!
At "Happy Valley," the customer is just a credit card that must endure mediocrity without expressing themselves! The manager's defense is an attack, labeling customer dissatisfaction as "bad customer, threatening, vulgar"... "as soon as I saw you arrive"... etc.
No professionalism, very poor value for money for a so-called 3-star, and a bad image for Poligny and its region.
