Scam
This is a place I found charming with my wife when we strolled one weekend in August, in the city of Rennes.
So I naturally booked a room at the counter face-to-face with a person. A real person.
The second person arrived behind the first and rushed me to pay in advance. A room I took for the weekend a few days after what I did for five euros more
It was mid-August. Today we are almost in the second week of September.
And I still have not been refunded a room whose Reservation I have not honored due to an impediment beyond my control.
After several phone calls through my wife, and today by myself, we are still not refunded the advance I made for this room booked in advance and cancel more than 48 hours in advance. So think before you return to this Pension because you do not know if you will be able to honor a Reservation whose amount you are obliged to pay in advance.
The property ownerrty owner of this Inn is a con artist.

Bar/cafe: big disappointment
My comment is not about the hotel but the bar/cafe. It's a very nice place where we wanted to organize my daughter's birthday. After numerous meetings with the manager and one of his employees, everything seemed ok to have entertainment on the big day with a large screen, boards, pizzas, drinks, etc. A few days before, the manager announced to us that the employee who had to do the animation was on sick leave so no more animation. The next day we called to still have the big screen, and we found the employee who was not at all sick but apparently the manager had changed his hours and he was no longer working on the big day! They still agree to put us on the big screen.
on D-Day, nothing...no screen, no prepared boards, no pizzas prepared...the 2 employees present, very kind, had no instructions, nothing. They were not informed of anything, and were sorry for us. They did their best.
I just hope the hotel is better managed!!

Great value in good location
The only negative was that our street facing room was adversely affected by traffic and loud people noise late into the night. Rear facing rooms probably quieter.
