Excellent hotel

Excellent service and welcome is made by the hotel manager.
Great very clean room with everything you need to have a good stay.
Parking and lots of restaurants around.. a few steps from Place Colbert.
I came here on business... I'll be back.

Disappointed

When we return to Rochefort, we will go to another hotel for the following reasons.
The few positives (location in the city center, very good bedding and well stocked breakfast) do not outweigh the negative.
Admittedly, it is an old building but it does not prevent an interior renovation.

Not as good value as other similar rated hotels

Overnight stop on our way up to Brittany. Hotel was ok, clean but basic with the world's slowest lift! Breakfast was good.

Deplorable customer service

A deplorable customer service, no compassion, no empathy, just there to make money.
I had to postpone my stay for medical reasons, I informed the establishment 24 hours in advance because I could not do otherwise, and they purely refused a cancellation without fees.
They charged me the full price of the night without any scruples.
When I called to explain the situation, I was told that the cancellation policy was valid 72 hours before the stay and not otherwise.
So, one should not have any unforeseen events with them.

A little past its due date

While fine for a night, this place is a little too funky smelling, with a few too many stains in the carpet, to really recommend. Perfectly located but in desperate need of renovation.
