Ridiculous

This hotel was booked by a friend. I personally probably would not have booked it, but as a hotel manager, I can certainly say a lot about this hotel. The staff is eager, but the rooms are just terrible. With very little money and effort, one could make something better out of this. The air conditioning is covered in dust, the showerhead is broken, and water is leaking from all holes. Such a thing costs nine euros on Amazon today; one could easily improve the rooms with very little money, but here the willingness is simply not present. I simply do not understand how one can let such a hotel fall into disrepair; it is just foolish.

Quite good, acceptable.

We went to Rouen for a romantic weekend and booked two nights at the B&B in downtown Rouen on the right bank.
We arrived a little before 2 PM, and the receptionist then informed us that the room was not yet ready, which was apparently not a problem since we were immediately offered another room.
We took the elevator and were surprised by the many bags of towels and sheets that were lying around the hallway... not very welcoming, but okay.
Once we arrived at the door, we noted the code on the lock as indicated by the receptionist and discovered a room that was quite acceptable, simple, and clean.
The bathroom was equipped with shower gel/shampoo (I recommend bringing your own for longer stays), and two towels. Nothing to report.
The bed was also acceptable, the mattress quite firm but not uncomfortable, and two pillows fairly soft but not uncomfortable either.
The real downside of this room and this stay was the air conditioning! Indeed, it was indicated that there would be one, we activated it as we were hot and it was a heatwave, and we were surprised when the air conditioning resembled more of a ventilation system…
We had moved the arrows to the maximum (10° if I remember correctly) and nothing really happened. Well… too bad.
We still enjoyed our stay and the room was quite acceptable and well located from the center (10 minutes on foot).

Small room, small bathroom, limited breakfast, no tea / coffee in room. Tea £2.50 in the bar.
Good for one budget night if on the road.
Close to bars and restaurants on the River Siene.
However, probably best avoided.
