Very honest considering the price

So obviously, it's not a palace but for this rate, I got exactly what I was looking for: enough to spend the night at the best price and as close to the city center.
Admittedly the hotel is old (it may have its charm) but the room I inherited was reasonably clean with the desired equipment - including the kettle, for me indispensable. The staff is welcoming, the soundproofing rather good (we are on a busy street), the bedding suitable and the bathroom well enough for an early shower.
If you want something more qualitative, you must put the price!
Anyway, I'll come back to that.

This hotel is very well placed in the Rouen centre with easy access to all the pedestrian streets and sights of interest. The room was of good size and so was the bathroom but an update would be nice. Breakfast was good and had an appropriate selection. The wifi did not work very well at times, so if you are dependent on this you might be frustrated.

Good hotel alternative

Good experience in total! Very good breakfast, and they had as well gluten free bread available (we informed them of gluten allergy in out group at booking time). Very friendly staff, central location, possibility for garage for a good price. A bit worn out, but the rooms are clean. Did not hear any noise in our rooms.

Rooms that are too hot

The owner is a lovely welcoming lady. And the location is top notch.
But unfortunately the rooms are not clean properly. No air conditioning or fan in the room. The rooms are very warm.
The hotel corridors only have lights that come on when you walk past in the dark. The reception and lounge close in the evening with shutters. You can't have a drink in the evening.
