True hospitality, exactly how it should be!

Originally booked one night via booking.com then opted to stay a second night we were so comfortable. The owner is French and speaks excellent English and was so helpful in assisting our plans for the rest of our driving holiday. For example, we left the car at the train starion 10 mins from the property and for 10 euro pp got the train to the centre of Paris. Then used the hop on, hop off city buses which were ideal for the tour and to get our bearings. The property provided a spacious room and luxury pristine modern bathroom. The bed was beautiful, so comfortable and soft snowy white bedlinen. There is a beautiful area to sit out in Spring & Summer months and we felt very welcomed, excellent hospitality. I wouldn't hesistate to recommend, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

magic experience

A beautiful place, about 50 km from the center of Paris. Very suitable to stay for one or more days and relax. The expertly renovated water mill and the estate surrounding it have a rich history and you can feel that in everything. The rooms are very neat and comfortably furnished and overlook a beautiful garden where children can play. All this is managed by an extremely friendly and helpful owner and his family. He is happy to tell you the stories about the mill and its previous residents. In the nearby town of Dourdan there are a number of restaurants, of which the Indian (next to the cinema) is highly recommended.

Nice suprice

Used as an overnight address from Spain, but the accommodation was a surprise, so we will definitely come back. Very warm welcome and explanation of the history of the accommodation by the owner. The room was spacious (by French standards) with a lovely bed and shower. What else do you want! The breakfast was also excellent and extensive.

for a stop-over or for a longer stay

using a small window of opportunity to travel during Covid-19 pandemic we looked for a remote spot for our stop-over on the way south. We discovered this treasure. The calm nature soothed our abraded nerves, the no-frills but very efficient running of the place healed us further. A place that is noteworthy for the French owing to its previous owner, is offering so much that people like us who do not know Cecile Aubry were also delighted to be able to stay here. They have no own website but you can find all info through the dourdan tourism centre, and book directly with them by phone or email. We hope to return.

Ein grandioser Auftakt unseres Urlaubs

Wir hatten diese Unterkunft einfach nur als Zwischenstopp auf dem Weg in die Bretagne gebucht. Es ist verkehrsgünstig in der Nähe der A10 gelegen und jedoch vollkommen ruhig und idyllisch. Was für eine Überraschung, als wir vor einem Tor mit einem Privatweg standen. Die Überraschung war umso größer, als wir die wunderschöne Mühle erblickten. Traumhaft!!! Es ist im Prinzip viel zu schade, nur eine Nacht hier zu verbringen. Das Haus wird privat geführt und wurde erst kurz vor Corona renoviert. Alles ist sehr liebevoll und mit viel Herzblut von Manuel und Tochter Alexia gestaltet. Auf dem parkähnlichen Gelände gibt es viele schöne Sitzgelegenheiten. Unser Zimmer hatte einen Blick auf den Mühlbach und auf den riesigen Garten. Das Frühstück war wirklich sehr, sehr gut, die Auswahl reichlich. Alles in allem ist diese schöne Herberge wärmstens zu empfehlen.
