A beautiful traditional hotel

A beautiful hotel with character and good service.
We stayed at this hotel probably about 15 years ago for a night stop-over while driving from Italy to Calais. We found it by chance getting off the motorway and we just love it! This time we were driving down from Calais and wanted a night stop-over again in Alsace and thought of trying Hotel Chez Jean again as we never forgot it!
We knew we were at the right place when we saw the homemade jam display by reception.
The hotel has kept its traditional feel but also feels fresh and up to modern standards.
Our two double bedrooms were comfortable, clean and cosy. Very good bathroom and shower,
The breakfast was tasty, fresh and with plenty of choice from a continental style buffet.
Saverne is a beautiful town worth exploring.
Alsace cuisine is delicious, definitely try the traditional dishes. We had a delicious meal at Taverne Kats.

A good address for visiting the surroundings of Saverne.

Charming rooms in this small town in Bas-Rhin, of different categories, good breakfast that could be enhanced with some specialty cakes (kuglof, streusel, etc.), quiet room, pleasant restaurant with local specialties! Parking package of 6 euros per day in the city parking lots.

We loved the stay

We stayed here for ten days and the experience was very positive. The hotel is well in the center, however it is very quiet. People are caring, the room is big and charming and the breakfast is amazing. The hotel decor is beautiful!
Ahh, next to the hotel there is a very good Alsacian food restaurant!
