Perfection

We had an amazing stay at the Rue du Château with our wonderful host Gwen. It was an unforgettable stay and we absolutely loved the vibe, the outstanding service, the location and the design of the hotel and the rooms. It was as if we were in an interiors magazine. We had no Aircon but just a fan and it was absolutely perfect. The breakfast was sublime with everything we wanted and more. And Gwen let us use the space as we wanted for our own meals and hangs. I would absolutely recommend this hotel for any duration of a stay. Next time I would love to spend longer there. It would also be a perfect place for a retreat of any kind.

The worst lodging encountered in 15 years of cycling...

. L 30 June: Heatwave day, vigilance Orange Weather France . Temperature = 36°C in Tarascon , 16h , 17h
. At 3pm , Refusal to accept us before 5pm
. We've just hiked the bike, all 6,
at 4:50 and let's ring... no answer. Phone on answering machine...
. At 5:02 p.m., answer to the telephone: " Wait 10 minutes, I'm at the checkout..."
. We're in at 5:10.
. We ask for fresh water...answer = "I will prepare this and put it in the common fridge.
. He shows us the room (on the 2nd floor on the sun side).... "...I forgot to pull the shutters!" he tells us. No air conditioning in the room,...it can be understood: it is an old building... But two glasses without a bottle of water...
. Breakfast: Bread, butter, jam, 1 croissant, orange juice...but no fruit, no yogurt, no ...
The decoration of the cottage is original and pleasant.
When we left, no one to say goodbye...
...and all for: 95 € for 2 people...

Awful .

This place was not clean . Had mould on walls. Basically dusty and dirty.
The staff were friendly and the grounds were beautiful but the room I had was not fit for purpose. Wouldn't go there again.

Tarascon Delight

A really lovely Provençal guest house with an artistic bent, slap bang in the old town and practically opposite Good King René’s chateau. Very good breakfast and helpful hosts. Rustic, homely rooms, but no lift, so beware. A great place to stay, with Avignon up north, Arles down south and Beaucaire on the opposite bank of the Rhone with another chateau and its famous/infamous ‘Brexit Street’. I’ll certainly go back to the Rue.

A night in Tarascone

Had a very pleasant night in Tarascone. The rooms were cosy, and the hosts were very gentle. Had a delicious breakfast in the courtyard.
The only remark is the place Tarascone itself, where there is not that many atmosphere.
