Cozy hotel, delicious food, great location, excellent staff.

We used the hotel as a starting point for spectacular hikes. The reception was warm, the family room clean and cozy, the half board delicious, the breakfast plentiful, the beer wonderfully cold, the service excellent, and the location ideal for mountain adventures. We can only recommend the Goldene Gams!

Do not stop.

Catastrophic. We have been accustomed to this hotel for 15 years.
It has never been this miserable. No one speaks French except for a lady at the reception (rarely present).
No TV throughout the stay. Workers and materials everywhere.
Breakfast opened 15 minutes late. Frozen dishes.
It was impossible to be understood during the service.
We are far... very far... from the great era of Angelo.

Mixed Review

Very beautiful mountain hotel, nice dining room, and pleasant room. But the €20 breakfast price is very expensive given the limited selection and quality, not worthy of a 3-star hotel!
On the other hand, dinner was quite good.
Very big problem: there are A LOT of flies in Casterino (presence of many horses), so you cannot open your room window (to our great disappointment), otherwise you end up sleeping with dozens of excited flies!! Same thing in the dining room. It was very unpleasant. The hotel needs to find solutions! For example, by installing screens on the windows....
It is also a shame that the receptionist does not speak French!

Unfortunately we could not have lunch because we arrived too late, we took two sandwiches at the bar, nice substantial, kind, Italian.

A shame... on the plate!

A shame... on the plate!
Accustomed to the establishment since always where we were delighted to come for its service and Price quality ratio (former manager), this is no longer the case! Yet a magnificent open-air barbecue, but on the plate a mix grill almost empty at 25€ and a rib at 28€ which is actually a bad steak rosé of whatever origin... it is a scandal!
So disappointed in this place that could be so much nicer if we didn't take people for fools!
Despite this, the waiter was rather friendly. We will not come back to this again.
