Friendly welcome and service; the owner, Aurelia, is very attentive.

The ribeye steak is delicious. Really a good time. Some major drawbacks!!

Really lovely stay

We were just after a cost-effective stay and were more than pleased. It was a really sticky 32C day, so when we arrived at the hotel, we decided to have a couple of beers in the rear yard before doing anything else. The owners were very friendly and there were some locals popping in and out. After a shower, we were ready to eat. Because we were so tired, we decided to eat at the hotel and we weren't disappointed. The food was very tasty and the house wine flavourful. But, what we enjoyed were the friendly owners. We had broken French (us) and good English (them) and had good chats throughout the evening.
There's easy parking in outside layby and yard behind. The main road is quiet and the hotel exceptionally clean. To save money, we had a shared shower and loo in the hall, but that's unusual. As you can tell, I'd thoroughly recommend the hotel or even popping in for a home cooked meal on your way through the area. We are going back in a couple of weeks!
PS Do try the local Garnier Calvados...we splashed out on a glass of 30 year old!

Lovely Menu du Jours

We were staying in a holiday home near Tinchebray and visited this restaurant twice for the menu du jours. Both visits were excellent and very enjoyable.
The food was freshly cooked well presented and offered excellent value for money. The service was friendly and welcoming.

Une bonne adresse

Un hôtel sans prétention très propre , pratique pour assister aux concerts de la nouvelle salle de Tinchebray .
Le chef / patron nous régale de ses recettes toutes fraîches et faites maison , produits locaux , des petits prix , ambiance chaleureuse en salle , le staff est sympa , nous reviendrons avec plaisir .

Un soir en semaine.... pas grand monde..... mais une bonne cuisine régional et bien servie. Peut être intéressant d'y manger le midi côté brasserie. Je recommande ce restaurant mais attention au budget.
