Serenity and authenticity

An anecdote: this morning, at breakfast (which, by the way, is one of the best we have tasted!), a gentleman at the next table was saying to his companion: "I didn't feel myself falling asleep! The perfect night!". A little later, while I was helping myself (again) to the (gargantuan) buffet, another was saying to the owner of the premises: "It's been years since I've had this many hours of sleep!"...
I then realized that I, too, had been sleeping very peacefully for several days.
I believe that is what Saint-Cirq is: a serene place, in which one immediately feels good. The setting, the welcome, the team, and the services make it a place that is worth the detour.
A piece of advice:
Do not trust the negative reviews, which are totally unjustified. These eternally dissatisfied people are incapable of recognizing the charm, quality, and authenticity of this hotel-spa. Come see for yourself, you will not be disappointed!

Nice room but host leaves something to desire..,

The room was nice but was greeted by who, appeared to be the owner. He was short with me and on the rude side. If you can’t be pleasant with your guests then maybe you should get out of the business of owning a hotel.

To be avoided at all costs

A horrible welcome, we were a nuisance. Never a word from management. Breakfast was disgusting. No room service. No phone in the rooms, what if there is a problem. As soon as you confirm 4 days in advance and if you cancel 2 days before, you will still be charged. Room service is available during your breakfast, but no vacuuming or mopping. I have 40 years of experience in travel and hospitality, and I have never seen this.

The property is beautiful and has a super view of the village on the opposite hillside. The room was comfortable, large, and well decorated in a vintage style. Breakfast was very tasty. The staff were all friendly abd helpful.
