Delicious enjoyment

The bedroom with connecting bathroom was very well equipped. And so do we -after 1 week of using it. An extremely friendly and attentive host of Dutch origin assisted by a charming French hostess guarantee a carefree holiday and fun tips to discover the region. And honestly: the surroundings (Department CREUSE) are surprisingly beautiful. Hugely enjoyed staying at Villa Valliére. Highly recommended!

Moment to forget

One of our worst Guest House experiences. Award urging in relation to services. A real scam.
Unheated and humid room (although 1 old noisy electric radiator), unclean bedding and bed linen, outdated furniture.
We fled early in the morning to avoid the Breakfast experience.
Address to forget.

Gîte in an old Manor House restored in a very original way

Was so pleased to find that this gîte was open this weekend. The host , Gurt was very welcoming and we sat in front of a roaring fire sharing an apéro together with his black cat .
We loved the way he had decorated the place , eclectic mix of antique, brocante, design and modern , and many many paintings and books of all gendres. The walls are often colourful and in our bedroom a piece of original wall paper still adorns one wall.
Tasty breakfast with cheese , ham and patisserie with lashings of local jam , unusual and classic flavours .

Very good experience

It was off to a bad start for us! Booking.com the reservation was made a month too early! Obviously…. surprise on arrival! But at that time the rooms were unoccupied and the owner quickly reacted by offering us a free room. The room was not heated since it was free and the central heating was not yet in service. But in a few minutes it was fixed with an auxiliary radiator. The “vintage” atmosphere is nice, especially for us seniors! The room is spacious with modern comfort. The bedding is of good quality! A record player placed in the room allows you to play an LP from the sixties. In the breakfast room many books found with a collection of works on TINTIN or by W.Churchill
Mister Gert takes great care of his customers (but a little effort in French would be useful)!! Very decent breakfast with “unobtainable” local jams due to the diversity of the compositions.
We stayed 3 days! The price for one night = €110 for a couple with breakfast
