The host Antoine is welcoming and best informed about the region. He gave us superb tips for hiking and adapted to our diet needs for the very yummy and inviting breakfast. 1722 is located behind a old church in a beautiful, quiet, traditional stone village. We absolutely recommend it.
For the rooms, it's better not stay on the ground floor, as it tends to be damp. But there's an air-con.

The garden is actually an area left to itself. The room: without mosquito nets, leads to boars that to obscure it have put a partition with a shower curtain. Wet equal to a cellar with a cockroach of almost 2 cm (see next to the glass) inside the sink.
We leave the next morning he says he would refund us one night. Of course it's not the first time he's promised to give money back to unfortunate guests and then keep it! In short, a Rogue Owner and a real SCAM!

Very nice bed and breakfast, small village perched but far enough from the coast. Beautiful area but long distances on narrow paths. Warm welcome. The property owner speaks several languages. Quality bedding, extra shower gel, beautiful decor. The toilet of our room was 2 m from the headboard, without curtain, without door. To know if we need his privacy.
Be careful, housing is difficult to find. Park on the road and walk a few meters because the building is at the end of an alley.
Our room overlooked the breakfast room, so it was impossible to sleep after 7.30am. The rest of the time, very quiet, very relaxing. The breakfast pt is composed of cheeses, cold cuts, local jams. Grey sliced bread, yogurt, homemade cake, fresh juice. If you like the pt baguette, pastries, the village is probably too far from shops to buy. The jacuzzi is beautiful with its swimming against the current.

Very nice discovery of a truly charming guest room

We really liked this charming guest house, isolated in a quiet area but not far from Ile Rousse.
Valérie takes great care of her guests..a delicious table d'hôtes in the evening..the very pretty room, a very nice bathroom with a pretty private terrace..
And for relaxation a superb jacuzzi..thank you Valérie for these 3 days

Rare find. Highly recommended

This was a true gem of a find. The accommodation is difficult to find. Don’t rely upon the Google maps entry because this will take you to an AirB&B run by the same owners that is only a short distance away by foot, but a long way away by road due to the one way system.
The hotel is in a building full of character located in a quiet area behind the church. There are great views over the mountains towards the sea. The rooms are on the ground floor and first floor and are extremely comfortable with lots of nice touches - plenty of wood and period features. There is parking available on the road nearby. Breakfast is taken either in the garden or on a terrace on the top floor. You can eat a 3 course dinner at the hotel, no choice, but the food was excellent on both nights, and the price, including wine was extremely reasonable.
There is an enormous jacuzzi/swim spa at the property that is great fun!
There are only a few rooms so it is never busy and the owner is always about and attentive with a constant cheerful smile.
We would be very happy to return!
