2 weeks of relaxation with My Husband at the Coconut Residents & Spa
We chose this place primarily for its location just on the edge of the busy scene and we’re not disappointed. It’s offers the perfect balance of location and Gambian experience. We cannot praise the staff enough from the management to the maids, all were polite friendly and considerate. Special thanks to the management for making our stay extra special. We would happily return and will be doing so.

Clean room,AC,Big bathroom, shower was comfortable, hot water, different lightings in room,Wifi,Acess to Youtube. Maid came daily, bar& lounge area/restaurant, pool (but didnt go into),sitting area/patio outside your hotel room.Its like Coco Ocean without the ocean,but cheaper.Nice and comfortable for tourist

I stayed here for nine nights and slept well on a comfortable bed.
The transfer to and from the airport was excellently arranged.
Breakfast was good, the surroundings were peaceful, and the rooms are spacious and beautiful.
In addition, the staff is friendly and helpful.
This was my second stay here and I would gladly return. Highly recommended.

Hotel surrounded by nature
Hotel rather dated but surrounded by nature, although some green spaces should be cleaned and fixed.
The rooms are spacious, quiet, comfortable, full of light. Cleaning staff polite and pay attention to the details of cleaning.
The breakfast, good and genuine, is structured on just enough, far from the standards of breakfasts of other similar 5-star hotels in the same Gambia.
On the other hand, all the staff from the Managers at the top to the most humble employee of the hotel proved to be kind, courteous, affable and professional.
A heartfelt thanks to Mrs. Kaddy of the Reception always ready to solve any inconvenience for the good name of the hotel.

Magnificent Colonial Building what a find
Having been to gambia and stayed at some of the luxurious hotels eg african princess I decided to try Coconut Residence & Spa .
Having also experienced gambian traffic I also did my research and below is why I give this hotel the rating as explained below .
Location .... located on the senegambia highway and about 5 min walk from supermarkets and senegambia strip and tropical mall within 15min this is great central location no need for taxis and within the highway there is roads leading into local life so if you fancy experiencing off the beaten track it's within the area.
Hotel ..... the hotel itself is typical African old colonial with an abundance of character beautiful grounds and away from the hustle and bustle no loud music or holiday beachy vibes it's so relaxing and peaceful and you can really feel the ambiance within the grounds .
The room ... very spacious Internet good hot water and the maid comes in daily and very thorough ..there is a sense of luxury about the room however more african inkeeping which is great it's like a mini house with a beautiful outdoor area for you ro enjoy in the evening .
Staff ...Reception very welcoming greeted by Hawa and Kaddy both lovely just what you needed after a long haul flight ... Hawa I spoke with personally prior to arriving and as my partner was a Muslim she made sure his breakfast was prepared at times suited to fasting ..
Abdulai William maintenance manager is always on hand to be ready with any issues if they arise .
There is Mr Jallow and Abybakarr who serve both Alasana and I regular and they are both so passionate nothing is too much trouble their always on hand to make sure guests are happy .
The food is great and chef will be accommodating again all you need to do is ask .
Manager Adama is always present and anything you require she will source they want to make your stay as pleasant as it can be so please the team here is far superior than the higher newer establishments very attentive .
We both love this place its a real find and feels very homely which is something everyone looks for home from home .
