A Culinary delight and exceptional service
The food is incredibly delicious, fresh, and diverse. Even as a vegetarian, I was spoiled for choice, with a wide variety of beautifully prepared dishes available every day. Every meal is clearly made with care and passion, featuring wonderful flavors, perfectly balanced seasoning, and excellent cooking techniques.
Executive Chef Fotis Liapis is a true professional. He is welcoming, approachable, and genuinely passionate about his work. It is evident that he cares deeply about ensuring every guest enjoys a satisfying and memorable dining experience.
I wholeheartedly recommend the Ambrosia Restaurant.
The restaurant staff are equally impressive. The waiters and waitresses are efficient, friendly, professional, attentive, and always courteous. Their dedication and positive attitude contribute greatly to the overall experience.

To achieve a higher overall rating, the hotel should pay more attention to the condition and equipment of its rooms. The room was quite basic and somewhat worn, which did not fully match the standards one would expect from a four-star hotel.
In addition, several services require extra payment, including the use of the safe, beach towels, and sunbeds on the beach. This policy feels rather unusual for a hotel positioning itself as a four-star property. These are areas that could certainly be improved and would significantly enhance the overall guest experience.

For every recommendation
The only thing we were dissatisfied with was our first room. For a family of three, it was quite small; the balcony was too small, and the internet connection was poor. However, we received another, better room the next day without any problems.
All-inclusive was fully sufficient for us. We drink little to almost no alcohol, so I do not rate it. The food was very delicious, varied, and more than enough. The staff was very attentive and nice. The two pool areas are small but nice. We prefer the beach anyway. The beach is right after the pool area. There, one could truly enjoy. For a small fee, one can get a lounge chair and beach towel, if desired.
Overall, the price-performance ratio is very good.

Nine people, three generations – all satisfied.
We would especially like to highlight the exceptional friendliness and warmth of the entire staff. From the reception to the restaurant and the service area, we were greeted with a smile at all times and always felt truly welcome as guests. The staff were not only friendly but also significantly more accommodating in many situations than one would typically expect.
The food also remained very positively in our memory. The selection was varied, the dishes were freshly prepared, and the flavors were consistently convincing. Everyone in our group found something to their taste every day, which is by no means a given with nine people of different ages.
The direct beach location, the pleasant atmosphere, and the well-maintained facility contributed to a successful stay. Overall, we were very satisfied with the services of the hotel and can gladly recommend the Jo An Beach Hotel.

One more note on a point that is mentioned critically in some reviews: We also had to pay the government tourism tax ("Climate Crisis Resilience Fee"). After some research, I found that this is a legally mandated government fee that is merely collected by the hotels and forwarded to the state. Of course, additional costs upon arrival are not necessarily pleasant; however, we find it unfair when hotels are criticized or rated poorly for this in reviews. The Jo An Beach Hotel is simply implementing the applicable legal requirements here.

The service here is simply at a level that one can only wish for. The entire team cares for the guests with so much heart and good cheer that one feels completely at ease. Especially the bar staff, including Dimmi, Dimitra, Stella, Thanos, Manolis, and Melina, truly leaves no wishes unfulfilled – always friendly, attentive, and smiling.
Additionally, this breathtaking view of the sea – in the evening with a drink, simply priceless.
The food is also absolutely top-notch. Chef Fotis truly fulfills every wish and caters to the guests individually. Whether classic dishes or special requests – even vegans will find plenty to enjoy here. One can simply tell that the cooking is done with passion.
For us, it is a highlight every year and definitely a place we always love to return to. Thank you to the entire team for this special atmosphere!
