Spa at Ariadne Beach hotel
This is a review about the Spa in particular. My husband and I arrived at about 3.30am and woke up on day 1 feeling shattered. So we decided to treat ourselves to a massage and I had a facial too.
It was an absolutely sublime experience and was a great way to unwind at the start of the holiday.
The whole environment was calm and professional, the individual masseurs George and Diki were very skilled and Emma looked after us brilliantly. We are thinking of going back before we leave Crete.

2 week all inclusive
Lovely spot right on the coast. Hotel was small but had all that you would require. The food in the main restaurant was good, if not a little repetitive and sometimes a bit luke warm. The a la carte restaurant was excellent if you were choosing from the a la carte menu (fish soup to die for). However, if you were going on the "free visit" as part of your all inclusive the choices were limited.
The rooms were nice enough - we were in one of the older rooms with the blue doors overlooking the sea. However, the cleaning was a bit spasmodic - one day a towel less than there should be, another day the cups not cleaned and the floor could have done with more attention.
The night receptionist was great with us when we had to go to the hospital - she called us a taxi and made sure we were ok.
GEORGE in the spa is excellent - I have regular sports massages in the UK and he was right "up there" in my estimation. Definitely worth a visit.
A steam cleaner for the pool sides would be an added bonus - mopping with a mop and bucket is not really adequate. The sun loungers by the upper pool were fab.
The bar man in the pool bar was great - jolly and efficient. The bar staff in the bar overlooking the beach were attentive and friendly.

Massage
I really enjoyed my 15 min massage with Georgia. They are very professional in the spa and I enjoyed unwinding properly before the beach. I would recommend:)

Relaxing stay
Relaxing stay at this hotel. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Food (buffet, all-inclusive) was great, including plenty of options for vegetarians. Wine a bit rough. Could do with more sun loungers around the pool, and more of the comfortable ones! We stayed in one of the older blocks (room 71) and the interior and bathroom and looking very tired and could do with an update.
