An owner of personal class!
I had seen very good things about the place before I went there, so we had high expectations. The first thing that happened when we got there was a fantastic and genuine welcome by Dante. It marked the entire stay. With such a treatment, you feel right at home.
The area is very quiet and peaceful, with a fantastic beach just a stone's throw away. There we could enjoy a shallow beach, with crystal clear water.
Here they wanted to stay longer, so I can warmly recommend this place.

Very poor service
I recently booked this accommodation for me and my family, we stayed for many days. The rooms were big and clean, but the pool was sitting there just for show, we never saw someone cleaning it out, noone was working on it, and the staff and service was even more disappointingly bad, we were greeted by an elderly woman who didn't speak any english at all, we had to communicate through a supposed “manager” who she was talking with on the phone, she had to call him for any questions or minor inconvenience, the bar was also closed by the “manager” who we didn’t even see once during our whole vacation, so we couldn’t have gotten not even a water or a coffee. Also speaking of the manager, we booked this accommodation a few months prior before arrival, and we were supposed to pay the full amount on our arrival, out of nowhere just a few days before we left for Greece, the manager contacts us and demands we pay in advance the FULL amount, which was ridiculous! After we finally got there and roamed around for a few hours, we finally met a man Anastasio who could speak english, he was the one who was finally able to help us with anything regarding the accommodation, plus he was super helpful and patient giving us information about the island and guiding us towards our next beautiful and cheap spots and beaches we could visit, we were able to visit all tourist attractions and beautiful spots there thanks to him while also spending minimal money. Honestly I think the only reason we liked our stay was because of him, really kind and helpful gentleman, I don’t we could’ve done anything without him, neither have fun nor know any information about the accommodation, though it’s a shame it seems he doesn’t have any authority over anything! The island is really beautiful with lots of beautiful spots, but unfortunately I don’t think I can recommend this accommodation to anyone, if it weren’t for Anastasio we couldn’t have done anything, nor ask for any information as it is impossible to communicate with the elderly woman there, plus the “manager” was basically nonexistent.

The management needs to be reviewed...
Upon our arrival, we were greeted by the owner, a lady who didn't smile much and who didn't speak or understand even a little bit of English or Italian. She tried to make us communicate with Dante over the phone.
Luckily, Anastasio was there, a kind, friendly, cordial, and welcoming person who immediately put us at ease by speaking perfect English and Italian, accommodating all our requests.
The property has great potential... it's a shame that there isn't even the possibility of being able to get a small bottle of water.
During one of the nights, we heard persistent noises coming from the roof; we went down to the reception, but there was no one there.
We want to highlight the helpfulness of Anastasio, who guided us in choosing excursions and restaurants, also because without him, we really wouldn't have known what to do!
Luckily, Anastasio was there, a kind, friendly, cordial, and welcoming person who immediately put us at ease by speaking perfect English and Italian, accommodating all our requests.

Good but not great
My experience at Dante’s Maisonette left me rather perplexed.
The day before departure, the manager Dante contacted me asking me to pay for the stay before arrival, providing me with the instructions to make the payment, even though I had initially requested to pay directly at the property.
Upon our arrival, Dante was not present. His mother welcomed us, with whom, not speaking English, we communicated mainly by phone. Anastasio was also present, described in previous reviews as the friendly owner of the property, but initially we did not have much of a chance to interact with him.
In the following days, however, we had the chance to get to know Anastasio better, who proved to be extremely helpful and attentive toward us. He helped us organize boat trips and recommended places, beaches, and restaurants not to be missed on the island. He was the staff member with whom we had the most contact and on whom we could rely during our stay. His helpfulness certainly made the difference and contributed to making our vacation much more pleasant.
The property certainly has great potential: it is located in a strategic position for visiting the whole island, in a quiet area and close to the sea. The rooms are cozy and there is a nice pool. We also noticed a bar, currently closed: a real shame, because it would be an excellent added value for the property, especially for an aperitif by the pool and, why not, also for offering breakfast service.
Overall, however, we had the feeling that there are some organization and management problems. The welcome could be more polished and the services offered to guests could definitely be expanded. Above all, we missed that feeling of hospitality and attention that we expected after reading the previous reviews.
A special thanks to Anastasio, who with his helpfulness, his advice, and his friendliness was able to make our stay much more pleasant.
The property really has everything it takes to offer an excellent experience: with more organized management and greater attention to the guest, it could make an important leap in quality.

Island is beautiful but the accommodation is not recommended.
We decided on this accommodation because the beautiful photos and the reviews, in which the owner was described as very polite and helpful, convinced us.
Upon our arrival, the apartment and the outdoor areas actually corresponded to the photos. However, the pool was unkempt and dirty, full of sand. During our entire stay, I did not see it being cleaned a single time!
Upon our arrival, the situation was initially a bit uncomfortable for me when an older lady wanted to hold her mobile phone to my ear, since she did not speak a single word of English!
Her young son named Dante had greeted me by phone beforehand and introduced himself as the manager. Later, however, I realized that he does not live on the island at all, but somewhere else entirely.
Over the course of the days, we noticed that this woman constantly had something to complain about and was generally in a very bad mood.
Once, I needed an additional change of towels. She changed them only reluctantly and gave the impression that I was imposing a great burden on her by doing so.
A kettle and TV are missing in the household and there is not even coffee to buy. There is a bad atmosphere there.
Furthermore, I complained twice about the missing Wi-Fi connection. But even after I had spoken with Dante, the problem was not resolved!
How can tourist accommodations even be run in this way? The manager is absent during the entire stay, while the cleaning lady is constantly in a bad mood and hardly communicative!
I have already traveled to many countries all over the world, but I have never had such an experience before.
The things we had read in the reviews about a polite and helpful host were unfortunately not confirmed at all.
After this disappointing communication and the inadequate provision of basic services, I cannot recommend this accommodation to anyone.
The island itself, however, I can recommend to everyone. It is of manageable size and offers many beautiful beaches on both the north and south sides.
The shipwreck, the Blue Caves, and Gerakas – known for its sea turtles – are among the island's landmarks. You absolutely must visit these places and enjoy the beauty of the island.
