Quaint and charming, excellent location and atmosphere
This hotel is located on a quiet street that can be easy to miss. The main highlight would the location: it is minutes away from Syntagma station and near the epicenter of all tourist activities.
Staff was very kind and approachable throughout the stay. The check in process was very smooth and they let us check in extra early when we first arrived.
The hotel rooms are quaint, with smaller square-footage than an average American hotel, so having larger luggage requires frequent creative maneuvering. The elevators are equally small and antique. Despite this, the hotel delivers on charm and creates a very hospitable atmosphere.
Breakfast was included during our stay at an adjoining restaurant (from 8:15 to 11:00) and consisted of à la carte options made-to-order. The menu
primarily consisted of protein-substitute/egg options with breads/cereals and salad — a very healthy way to start the day.

The Niki Athens was a fine hotel, but definitely not what I expected given the price and previous 5 Star reviews. The room was absolutely tiny, you could barely fit two people in it. There was nowhere to sit, not even a small chair, and the shower was so small that it leaked into the rest of the bathroom when you were in it. There was also no shower door which was very odd. The staff was very nice, especially the waitress at breakfast. Having included breakfast made the stay better but the room itself made the stay challenging, in addition to the lack of amenities (no tissues or moisturizer).

Very good hotel in a great location. Easy to walk around and explore Athens from there. The room was comfortable and the hotel was clean. Breakfast options were a bit limited, but everything was good. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

Superb breakfast, great service and convenient location
Our stay at Niki Hotel was wonderful from start to finish. The location in Plaka was perfect, close enough to walk to all the main attractions in Athens, yet tucked away enough to enjoy peace and quiet away from the crowds and nightlife noise.
What truly made this hotel exceptional was the breakfast. Without exaggeration, it was the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had. The variety was incredible, and as a vegan, I was especially impressed by the outstanding vegan menu with multiple thoughtfully prepared options. It’s rare to find a hotel that puts this much care into plant-based dining. One morning I had a delicious avocado and tofu toast paired with vegan blueberry pancakes, and it was genuinely one of the best breakfasts I’ve had anywhere.
The service was equally excellent. The reception staff were warm, welcoming, and always happy to help. The rooms were spotless, the beds were very comfortable, and the overall atmosphere felt relaxing and inviting.
I highly recommend Niki Hotel to anyone visiting Athens, especially travelers looking for exceptional hospitality and an amazing breakfast.
