Great experience!
We stayed at the Corfu Star in Benitses and had a really enjoyable experience. Mikos, the owner, was exceptional: always available, ready to solve any small problem and kind enough to give us a late check-out, which allowed us to spend a few hours at the beach before leaving.
The accommodation is simple and minimal, but very clean and comfortable. A real highlight is the beautiful terrace overlooking the sea and the location itself: just 100 meters from the beach (both equipped and free). We also loved the idea of a small shared table for guests with sunscreen, bubble bath and umbrellas.
The bus stop of line 6 is only 3 minutes walk away and easily connects Benitses with Corfu Town, making it very convenient to get around. We also enjoyed the convention with the Varvara restaurant, where we enjoyed great dishes.
Overall, a lovely stay that we highly recommend to anyone looking for cleanliness, simplicity and a strategic location in Corfu.

VERY BAD EXPERIENCE
This property was rated as 7.9 in booking and we decided to stay. This rate is not true though . Shame on Booking. The property has a huge problem with water pipes . We could not sleep at all all days of our stay. Any client [ in any part of the whole building] who used water , we could hear the noise of pipes extremely loudly .The dramatic was that from 5.00 am and in the middle of midnight the water pipes were on and instead of sleeping we were in bed with huge headache. Travelling from London to Corfu while using it was terrible not to be able to sleep feeling unable even to drive the car we had rent because of need of sleep. Renting a property mainly for a sleep and not being able to sleep because of pipes noise is terrible. The pipes are old, build inside , and anyone who turns on the water is heard extremely loudly not only the flow of water but the pipes. The property needs serious maintenance. We could hear TV and talks from the rooms next to us and from talks in the balcony This property had a different name in past and changed its brand name. I am not sure the good comments where come from. We are very frequent travellers and especially to Corfu but we never had such bad accommodation experience. The balcony is very small, and there is no privacy (each one sees the person sitting). Although we love balconies, we did not feel comfortable to stay there. The furniture, wardrobe, kitchenette are very old and overused. The room space small and not as looks in photos. There was not even something to keep the towels. We had to have the towels only on bed (the bed sheet of my husband was not well cleaned) on non cleaned bed covers and due to this we never used them. We bought two towels from the local market. The dinning table extremely small, only 2 small dishes, two spoons, two forks, two glasses. None came to clean, probably the cleaning took place only when we left. A lot of noise from talks, noises outside. The host is a nice family, kind to help and when we complained for the pipe noise they said that they rent the business and can not themselves do the maintenance . However, at the end the customers get all the trouble. I am sorry , but, we can not recommend this property , it was the worst experience we ever had travelling to this beautiful island. The location is nice, we appreciate that every property may have problems however the specific pipe noise problem is very huge and extremely bothering .
