BEST LOCATION BEST STAFF BEST HOTEL
If you’re planning to stay in CHANIA , CRETE …. The Azade in old town Chania is the best hotel there is . Location is key and it’s located in the heart of old town … walking distance to all shops and restaurants along the beautiful lighthouse harbor . But what makes it stands out the most is the amazing customer service lead by manager Xanthos - along with his staff Artemis and the rest of the crew - helping us book all excursions beforehand with great communication to book our tours to Elafonissi beach , catamaran boat , lake Kournas , transportations and more . The breakfast was Cretan traditional with a personal touch , rooms were super clean and spacious and overall 100% satisfaction ! We loved Chania and this hotel is the best there is ! My family of 10 persons had 4 rooms - each room has its charm ! I highly recommend the AZADE !

This hotel was so beautiful, we had an amazing time. All of the staff were so friendly and helpful, they even got us breakfast to go one morning when we had to leave early. Location is awesome. 100% recommend this place.

Sanctuary in Chania
Azade was a perfect home base for our stay in Chania. Our suite was incredible, with two stories, two bathrooms, and a rooftop patio. The bed was very comfortable, and everything was immaculately clean. Most notably, the staff and service were wonderful. Artemis was so friendly and kind, and introduced me to my new favorite beverage: cappuccino freddo. :-) We'd love to come back!

Solitude in Chania
We found an amazingly peaceful boutique hotel in a beautifully restored space in the busy town of Chania, Crete. Our spacious suite was tastefully designed with a large patio overlooking the city.
The staff were all gracious and very helpful. They always welcomed us with a smile and asked us how our day went. Breakfast in the open air courtyard was plentiful, with all sorts of options.
Because the hotel is in the old city and you can't drive a car there, you do have to tote your luggage a few blocks, but that is a minor inconvenience for a truly lovely hotel .

The most amazing stay in Chania’s old town.
What an amazing boutique hotel in the heart of Chania old town.
The building is a beautifully restored 16th Century group of building around a small courtyard - accessed from a quiet old town back street by an unassuming door leading to a cool, dimly lit hall.
We had the maisonette room (a room & bathroom on each floor) with a private rooftop sun terrace overlooking the mountains to the south. Amazing! Comfy bed, crisp white linens, all mod cons (kettle, coffee machine, fridge - and separate wine fridge). The bathrooms had great monsoon showers (and great water pressure) with lovely soaps etc and soft white towels.
With modern windows, the inside was silent at night with them closed and modern air conditioning quietly kept the entire maisonette at the desired temperature.
Breakfast was included and everything on offer (fruit, granola, Cretan pies, eggs, cold meats and lots more) was amazing. The room was also well stocked (and restocked daily) with bottled water, juices, teas, coffee and soft drinks.
And all underpinned by an amazing small team who warmly welcomed us, organised airport transfers, sorted excursions out and looked after us all week.
Cannot rate the whole package highly enough. We will definitely be going back.
