Iconic Hotel Hora Sfakion, very well placed, decent room with balcony facing the sea, minimum service.

Stavris Hotel (Sfakia): to be avoided.

The only real advantage: the location, which ensures the owners an excellent income. As a result, they let themselves go and treat tourists like in the worst places in the South. Room barely clean, blankets cleaned a long time ago, rusty refrigerator, furniture not only "vintage" - that's not a problem - but downright in poor condition, dilapidated nightstands, wardrobe stabilized on two beams, so it remains at risk of tipping over on the guest at any moment, and half of it does not open because the lock is broken. Television broken, the owner conveniently did not inform us of this upon our arrival; and when we ask to change rooms, even though we have barely settled in, they suggest we pay for a second one!!! And as for the reception... the owners spend their lives on a chair waiting (and watching?) for the guest, not a kind word, just cooperative as long as we haven't paid for the room and downright unpleasant as soon as they have collected the payment. Don't go there!! There is certainly better (a bit more expensive, no doubt) in Chora Sfakion (Skafia).

For want of better and for low budget

For the price, we're not going to expect luxury. But a disgusting fridge, just like the dishes and cutlery. So we gave up the idea of eating there. A loud fridge that kept me up until I pulled the plug. Welcoming initially was suitable, but initially no goodbye, or even look. Too bad because it would take little for it to be acceptable, just love his job and welcome tourists well.

All good but…

The structure was as described but I must say that it was a little too minimal and not in the main part. Cold welcome and basic services guaranteed. Very noisy refrigerator. For one night I would say it's fine but I wouldn't stay there for many days

Good hotel

Great hotel ,,clean,comfy beds ,free WiFi.almost on the sea front.good breakfast (7.5€ bacon and eggs,coffee bread and fresh orange Juice),,parking may be a problem in high Season.Good choice of restaurants in the village.
