Location with sea view

A really welcoming location, the room clean, organized and all the staff very friendly and helpful. We had a nice terrace facing the sea. Manolis a perfect hospitality manager, always available to give help and advice.

Heaven on Earth

Another amazing month of July 2024 at Kalamaki Mate Suites. This is my third year staying at the hotel !!! I give the hotel, owners, and employees 5 Stars!!! They are always smiling and their hospitality goes above and beyond. The Garden view room was relaxing, peaceful, and private. The Sea balcony room was amazing heaven in Earth !!! The rooms were amazing with air conditioning with a small kitchenette. Thanks to housekeeping room was always cleans and smelled like flowers in Crete!!!! I highly recommend stay especially that the beach is across the street from hotel. Now let’s talk about the amazing out of this year food!!! I tried everything one the menu and loved everything!!! My favorite was was the chocolate pancakes this year!!! Manoli the owner makes the best Freddo Espresso in the world. Kalamaki Mare Suites is my happy place!!!! Thank you Manoli, Angie, and the whole stuff. See you next year!!!

The best place to visit all the beautiful places in Crete and enjoy the care of the landlord

The apartments Manolis runs are in one of the best places on the island so you can visit the best beaches and see the most beautiful places in Crete. They are located in Kalamakis, a step from Chania, on the way to Balos, Elafornisi or Falsarna. Cerquisimo of Lake Kournas and Rethymno, all must-see places in Crete.
Manolis is an excellent host, always attentive so that his guests feel well taken care of. The apartment with its small kitchen, fantastic with its sea views and enjoy breakfast or dinner on the terrace. But for breakfast, try the magnificent offer that offers us in its cafeteria that is under the apartments. And the beach opposite the apartment warm and quiet! We won't easily forget.

Very nice hotel near CHANIA

Hotel very well located, 15 minutes from old CHANIA. This hotel is located near a beautiful beach, with, if necessary, a bus stop to get to the city center of CHANIA. MANOLIS, the hotel manager, is present to give a lot of valuable information about CHANIA (advice in particular on restaurants)
He even lent us a scale to weigh our luggage before leaving for the airport. He is very attentive to customers. He also runs a café-bar on the ground floor: I recommend the Cretan omelette for breakfast and its fresh orange juice. We were able to easily find a place for our car nearby. Thanks again to MANOLIS who took great care of us for 4 days.

Lovely studio apartment

Very clean well cared for apartment. Owner kept in touch to make sure we were ok. Free safe. Bed was very comfy. Nice balcony with sea views. Beach straight over the road the sea was really warm bar service available. Quite a few restaurants near by. Bus to Chania is recommended €1.50 tickets available from the booth opposite the bus stop close to Kalamaki mare apartments. Would definitely return.
