Decent hotel within walking distance of the old town, Venetian port as well as the central bus station. Very friendly staff and the the room was comfortable and had a nice large balcony, but the level of cleanliness was not ideal: when we arrived to our room there were hairs stuck in the pillow covers and sheets and the bathroom had some mold in the shower and dust on the toilet and sink. The towels however were clean and got changed every 2 days. The breakfast was tasty albeit quite limited in terms of options, however on the last day we had the surprise of finding mold on a rice pudding... So overall an okay experience and a very convenient location, although the hotel would definitely benefit from a higher level of attention when it comes to cleaning.

Can hear other rooms easily. Difficult to sleep with the noise of other apartments making noise throughout the night.
Staff were very nice and helpful

Staff were nice but our AC dripped the entire time we were there. We used a bucket & glasses to catch the water. We told them the day we arrived and were told “ there was nothing they could do now”. That was fine because it was late but it was never addressed after that. I am pretty sure they knew cause when we checked in our room the window& door was opened and the AC was off. Had the AC been on, water would have been all over the floor. Other than the AC issue, it was a convenient walk to the ferry port, supermarket, car park & restaurants.

Very good hotel at the Heraklion harbor.

The Marin Hotel is located at the Heraklion harbor. You can reach the city center within 5 minutes on foot.
We had an executive room and a double room, each for single use. Both with a sea view on the fifth floor of the hotel....
The rooms were nicely furnished, including a refrigerator and TV. The executive room is like a junior suite with a huge balcony. The double room for single use had a significantly smaller balcony, but with the same furnishings as the executive room, equipped only with a shower, while the executive room had a bathtub.
Both rooms were booked with breakfast included.
The service at both the reception and in the rooms was excellent.
The only complaint I have is that on my huge terrace, two sun loungers were missing. Two chairs and a table were present, but no sun loungers.
The breakfast was okay; however, the eggs were prepared with a pre-made mixture that did not taste good at all. Additionally, there was a lack of sausage selection.
And unseen, but a successful stay that I would like to remember.

The room was clean, great location especially if you are travelling to the port. The staff were helpful. Good breakfast with a perfect view of the sea.
