Excellent resort

Excellent hotel! Our family had an amazing time at the Filoxenia hotel which is more like a resort. Starting with the expansive gourmet breakfast with locally grown eggs cheeses and vegetables, leading to the three pools on the grounds and then the crystal clear beach just steps away.
The grounds are beautiful to walk and the rooms are beautifully recently renovated.
The people - every single one- was very welcoming pleasant and helpful. They made our stay extra special. A special thank you to Marsilia with guest relations, Mairy the front office manager, Dimitris at reception Margiota at guest services and everyone we came in contact with throughout our stay. Paradise on earth

There are no words to describe our stay in Grecotel Filoxenia! From the moment we stepped in every member of the team welcomed us with warmth and enthusiasm. They made us sit and did the check in for us. Even though we arrived very early the room was ready in no time. From that moment we knew we had hit a golden spot.
The whole resort had been recently renovated. The rooms are specious with minimal beautiful decor that makes you relax and thoroughly cleaned.
The breakfast buffet is full with dishes made with local ingredients as they informed us and absolutely delicious!
The location is the highlight of course between the mountain and the messenian gulf, so stunning that leaves you breathless. The hotel has pools, but we also choose to relax at the beach with her crystal clear waters. Notice that has pebbles so perhaps beach shoes are a necessity.
We want to thank its staff member for making us feel like home and we are definitely looking forward on return to this paradise on earth!

Transit Visit

The hotel was fully renovated in 2025, everything is brand new in the rooms, pool and beach area, reception area, amazing transformation!!
The only flaw is the beach, too rocky, very difficult for handicapped individuals, a little rough for parents with baby strollers. There are wooden passage boards, but they do not go all the way to the water.
Lifeguard is available.

Very good, can improve

Good choice for Kalamata stays.
Great location, easy own parking.
Rooms are fully renovated. Bathrooms are excellent. Some corridors still need touch-up.
Breakfast is good but maybe not super-wow. Staff very polite.
Weak point remains the reception. More geared to 1-week vacation stays than to business travelers who appreciate quick check-in.

Unique Experience

The hotel offers a unique experience both for the adults as well as the kids. Pool area is cosy and relaxing while breakfast is rich and delicious. Kids enjoyed greatly Grecoland. Overall experience is fantastic and highly recommended.
