Paradise on earth

The welcome is very pleasant, the view is magnificent, the food is delicious, the breakfast is very hearty, everything is homemade, the honey, the jam, the cookies, etc... Before dinner, go refresh yourself in the pool; it will perk you up to enjoy the succulent dinner.

Small but nice at Amarital

Few, rather small rooms on the upper floor, those facing south have a beautiful view. The bathroom is modern, everything is very clean and functional with Cretan decor.

An amazing stay

We have been staying in Aravanes hotel for a week and the experience could not have been better.
The service was amazing, the food was very good and the room/common areas as swimming pool was clean and in good conditions.
The owners recommended several places to visit and activities to do around the area which made our trip even more authentic.
The area is very calmed and with good access from Rethymno.
We really recommend this hotel and will definitely come back in our next visit to Crete.

We found this place by luck and what a truly fabulous place it is. The hotel is set in a gorgeous area with stunnign views of Mount Ida and the fertile land around. We had a great room with terrace. Spotlessly clean and charming and helpful staff. We ate at their restaurant which was a true delight, delicious local delicacies with smiley service. Breakfast was not included in the price but great value. Again all home made, varied and huge. I even came away with the biscuit recipe which I am soon to try and make, I will let you know how it goes. They offer cooking days and foraging days too which although we did not have time to do I am sure they would be amazing. Truly wish we had had more time to spend here. A true gem of a place thank you all.

Exceptional stay

After spending the night at the aravanes a few times and being very enthusiastic about the people and the surrounding area, I celebrated my 70s here with friends. We booked all the rooms and auditioned the menu. All our friends were equally enthusiastic about the warmth with which we were served. An unforgettable celebration in wonderful surroundings.
