Lovely Apartment. Wonderful hosts
A lovely apartment - beautifully decorated and with everything you need for your holiday.
Antonio, Effe, and Andrianna are the lovliest hosts and made me feel so welcome.
I had a weeks stay here on a cookery holiday. Learnt to cook some traditional dishes and with the other 2 cookery guests had lots of fun. We were taken om tours of the island, had local meals out and boat trip was available.
I also had time to spend on the beach and walking etc. I could not have been made more welcome and came home feeling relaxed.
The apartments are near the busy nights spots but we were not disturbed by any noise - the beach is nearby and the quieter Kalamaki beach is not far away.
I would certainly recommend these apartments as a great place to stay with a family who really care and have a great eye for detail. Thank you

Perfect culinary and yoga vacation for a young, female solo-traveler
As a young female solo-traveler looking to have a relaxing vacation and enjoy the beauty of Zakynthos, I felt comfortable and at home in Spiros Family Apartments. The beds were comfortable and the air ventilation kept the room dry and cool on humid days.
The hosts were lovely, treating me like family. I think a true testament to their hospitality is in how comfortable I felt during one-on-one interactions.
My week in Zakynthos was part of a culinary and yoga tour. It was well organized and I got to sample a a wide range of Greek cuisine and learned quite a bit of cooking from Effie (host mother). Her homemade breakfast was delicious. At each meal, the family was very generous, always offering me more food, even when I was stuffed! Andriana (host daughter) led my yoga classes, which were easily some of the best I have ever taken! Highly recommend taking a cooking and/or yoga class while staying here.
Antonio (host father) was my lead guide for excursions (to Zakynthos Town, olive oil production press museum, viewpoints, boat trips, etc). He went out of his way to organize the itineraries based on the weather and even added a few extra stops along the way.
Each day was the perfect balance of activities and rest. I left Zakynthos feeling like I got a relaxing vacation but also learned a lot about Greek culture and saw some beautiful places around the island. Could not have asked for a better experience.

A Haven in the chaos
these apartments are beautiful - thoughtfully decorated in calming colours to a high standard and with everything you need for your holiday. And if you need something else, they will sort it for you.
Antonio, Effe, Denia and Andrianna are the lovliest hosts.
My friend and I had a weeks stay here - sampling cookery lessons, arts, tours of the island, local meals out and the history. As well as horse riding, massage and a fantastic yoga session. We also had time for ourselves to spend on the beach and walking etc. We could not have been made more welcome and came home feeling rested
Whilst the apartments dont have a pool and are near the busy night spots - the beach is nearby and the calmer part of the town easy to get to. We werent disturbed by any noise. I would certainly recommend these apartments as a haven....and the family for their care and attention to detail.

Not what I expected
Upon arriving at the apartments we noticed that the swimming pool was not in use no doubt due to it being near end of season but this was not pointed out to us.
Also the safe was an additional charge to use when we asked.
Toilet smelled during the whole time we were there.
Beds were comfortable enough and owners polite but I expected better especially considering previous reviews.
I appreciate its close to the end of the season but we were paying the same price as people that did have access to the pool earlier in the season etc

Dear guest,
I am sorry to hear, you didn't enjoy your stay at Spiros Family Apartments due to the pool and toilet smell. There must be some misunderstanding because we don't have a pool and we don't advertise having one. In our descriptions, we indicate the nearest pool our guests can use, which belongs to another facility 150m away from us. Therefore our prices do not include this facility.
Regarding the toilet, we use standard cleaning products with chlorine and lemon odor. If you let us know you weren't happy with your toilet smell during your stay we would have tried to do something about it. Safe deposit boxes are charged 1 euro per day extra like in most hotels and this is also indicated in our listings.
