Ideal for what we wanted. Lovely pool, cool air conditioned rooms, comfy beds, lovely shower, large wash basin with plenty of space around it, big refrigerator, big sliding patio door onto a private patio area with option of a sliding fly screen or complete blackout with a sliding wooden screen, however there were items badly in need of maintenance. Number 1 on the list has to be the screw sticking out about 16mm from the consumer unit, AT EYE LEVEL, just as you enter the room. The knob was obviously missing. It is also a silly place to have the consumer unit. Number 2 is the difficulty my wife and I had opening the door to leave the room. Number 3 is the soap tray in the shower had fallen off. All it needed was a quick tighten with an Allen key. Finally, our room was not suitable for toddlers and young children. The stairs to the mezzanine level were open and the handrail was wide enough to allow even a large overweight adult through.

This is a very basic hotel and massively overpriced. The only redeeming feature is the pool. The room has a kitchenette but not so much as a cup, spoon or kettle on offer. In dire need of refurbishment. Tried to book a taxi when we were due to leave and this was not easy…had to walk out into the town to arrange ourselves. Breakfast looked poor so ate out. Very disappointed.

Starting to feel a little run-down

Hotel Ianos is usually buzzing - it’s the traditional before and/or after hotel of the yachting crowd plus others that want a quiet but town centre hotel with a pool.
This year felt decidedly different. There’s no restaurant, they charged a whopping €10 for pool access (up from €5 last year) and the poolside toilets felt a little neglected.
Hoping Sunsail buy the hotel and incorporate it into their Lefkada offering, it might smarten the place back up to what it used to be.

Filthy sub standard not as advertised

We booked 2 nights through Booking.com. keen for a swim, at check in I asked if the pool was warm. The receptionist replied that the pool is empty . The room had no beverage facilities. The bed linen was worn with holes. No cover on duvet. Mould on curtains and extensive in bathroom. Bathroom was filthy throughout. We decided not to stay and checked out. On a positive note the view of the empty pool and harbour was good .
Checked within the hour.
Took a big hit on this one but life's too short and health is more important

Good place

Good place. The location is perfect. Only few minutes to the town center. Nice place with room view to the Marina. Simple. Nothing special. It is good.
