Great stay at Bella Vista
Wonderful stay at Bella Vista. Firstly, Christof and his staff are amazing, they will do all they can to help you out. Rooms are cleaned daily and have everything you need for a pleasant stay.
The hotel is located around 1.5 miles from Parga itself but there is a shuttle in and out 4 times a day, plus a taxi is 10 euros.
The hotel is small and quiet which is nice but as others have mentioned it’s on a hill so maybe a 15 minute walk down to the beach but quite steep on the way back up.
We ate in the bar area on the first night and it was excellent. We didn’t have the breakfast package but what we saw it looked very good and plentiful.
We always rate on would we come back again and we would say yes so overall it has been a great stay.

Cacks in the room
On arrival we got room 106, it was unfortunately an old room with cracks around all the foot panels as well as in the bathroom, and there was a large cracks under the outer door facing the terrain. Under our entire bed there were curtains of dust hanging and the first two nights there were cockroaches in the bathroom. We asked for another room and got room 104 this was also an old room, but not observed cockroaches there.
We do not believe that the rooms we were allocated correspond to 3+. We have contacted Apollo to inform them about the standard, but according to them we should have contacted the travel guides in Parca so they could have seen what we experienced.
We did not see any guides while we were at the hotel.

Quiet and pleasant hotel in very hilly terrain.
Quiet small hotel in very hilly terrain above Lichnos beach.
Two-storey building with about 16-17 rooms.
Pool with good sun beds, thick mattresses and big umbrellas, there were always available chairs during our stay.
Pool bar with food and drinks.
Cleaning of the pool area every morning.
The room had well-functioning AC and safe (no extra charge). Ceiling fan.
Kitchenette with equipment for easier cooking. Fridge with freezer compartment.
The beds and pillows ok. Balcony with table and chairs and drying rack facing the pool area and with side views to the mountains and sea.
Many wasps, especially when you would eat something on the balcony.
Room and furnishings slightly worn, could use a refresher. Broken power socket and faulty shower head were fixed as soon as we told.
The hotel offered transportation to and from Parga four times a day for 2 Euro/person and distance.
We were also advised by the hotel to shop for groceries etc. at the Express Market (located near where you are dropped off in Parga) and they deliver the goods free of charge to the hotel if you shop for more than 30 Euro.
It is very hilly in Parga and the hotel is well up from the beach with a good climb back. The Porto Lichnos restaurant is located a few hundred metres above the hotel (take the shortcut via the stairs behind the hotel).

Bella Vista Delights
This lovely little hotel is set 3km outside of Parga Town, (the travel company has listed this as Parga Town, it is actually in Lichnos Hamlet 3km away). The location offers stunning views Lichnos Beach and beyond. The walk to the beach is downhill about 750 metres, a nice stroll down, but a challenging trek back uphill ( not for those with mobility issues). That being said the Bella Vista is a lovely little hotel, two storied building, with very good facilities for a 2+ star hotel. Good sized pool, most rooms have a pool view with a side view of the sea. The rooms are well equipped for self catering, with a well laid out kitchenette, there is everything you need to cook if you wished to do so, plus coffee maker, sandwich maker, microwave. I would point out that there is one mini market in Lichnos and when we were there(last week of May) it was only opened in the morning, so you would need to walk down and walk back with your provisions: Failing that it would be a trip to Parga to the larger supermarkets to stock up. The taxi service makes this a little more manageable. The room was spacious and bright with a large comfortable bed and good pillows, spotlessly clean. Linens were changed regularly. Good sized bathroom, with decent shower (could do with a bit of an upgrade at some point). Staff very friendly and the owner Christos was genial and extremely helpful. Being outside Parga, and there really being nothing to do in Lichnos, the hotel has an arrangement with another larger hotel to provide a 4 times per day taxi service into Parga Town ( a small charge is levied each way so factor this into your spending),whist this was useful, the last pick up back to the property was 10:10pm, I found this very limiting with regards to the buzz that was in Parga. If you missed this, you face either a hire taxi ride or a walk up the main road, very steep. If you do like walking Parga can be reached via a path which led down through the olive groves, but this would be purely for day time walking imo. The walk back involves an extremely steep incline.
We stayed on a B&B basis, the breakfast was hand prepared and included the ubiquitous ham/cheese continental style, plus fresh juices, local yoghurts, honey, cooked options and savoury pastries. I enjoyed the freshness of the local produce. The personal service, provided by the staff was great.
The tour company rated this as 2*+, if have stayed in worse 4 star accommodation, if you are fairly mobile and you enjoying walking this would be a great chill out place, or if you want to lay by a pool all day, this would be a decent choice. But again if you have mobility issues then I would suggest this may not work for you.
All in all no real issues and if you like the tranquility provided by small hotels, do not mind being outside of the buzz of a town, enjoy walking, it may be just the place for you. ( We travelled form the UK, via Jet 2).

A great week at Bella Vista.
We were 2 families so had 3 rooms between us. I do have to say it took me a while to acclimatise to the accommodation. It was basic and a little tired but incredibly clean - credit to the 2 ladies that work diligently cleaning the rooms and the pool area every morning.
Self catering equipment consisted of crockery and cutlery, glasses and mugs and pans, a microwave (didn't use), fridge, 2 ring electric hob and a sandwich toaster. There was NOT a 'normal' toaster and the kettle takes a while to boil. It would be useful to take your own tea towel and some washing up liquid as these are not provided.
The shower is basic and doesn't move up / down etc. some nice olive oil shampoo is provided. Towels changed regularly. Beds comfortable with very clean white sheets. Ample storage. Ceiling fan with air con available at an additional cost (€40 for 7 nights). The Aircon and tourist tax have to be paid in cash so make sure you have Euros as no ATMs without going in to Parga. We didn't use it as we left patio doors open with fly screen across. It can be quite noisy as there is a hill on the road right by the apartments and cars drive by the apartments to reach the parking area. Each room has a balcony with chairs and table and drying rack.
Pool area is excellent - never a problem getting a lounger which are wooden with nice thick cushions. Kept very clean.
Pool bar / snacks - water is very reasonable at €1 for a large bottle. We ate at the bar one evening (souvlaki - very nice) and 1 breakfast (toasties - again nice). Drinks most nights at the bar.
Getting to Parga - mini bus has specific times which aren't always convenient. The last minibus back to Bella Vista leaves Parga at 10.10. if we wanted to stay later, we just got a taxi (€10). The mini bus charges €2 each way which must be paid in cash to Cristos (apartment owner). He is very amenable and can arrange to drop people off and pick up from Lichnos beach in a car (very steep climb up otherwise) as long as it's at a convenient time.
We used the supermarket delivery service once then, as it's open til late, we picked up odd bits we needed before returning at night. Use of the taxi bus service, local taxis or having a car is essential to get around The surroundings are very hilly and steep but from the apartments this gives you a stunning view of the sea.
Would I return - most definitely (with a car!l
