Magical

We spent a week in a troglodyte cottage. Tamara the housekeeper is very kind, as is Miri the luggage porter. Exceptionally quiet location with a terrace on the caldera. Nothing to complain about, it was perfect.

We had a wonderful stay. Owner Minas arranged a pick up at the ferry for us and check in was great; our room was ready early. We found the WhatsApp communication with Minas very convenient. Everyone was so friendly and helpful from Miri who carried our bags to Mrs.Tamara who kept our room wonderfully clean. It felt like a home away from home. 5 stars. There are lots of stairs so this place wouldn't suit anyone with mobility issues but that goes for most of the restaurants and hotels in Fira anyway. Thank you for a great stay. We hope to be back sometime soon.

Perfect Santorini weekend

It was an 11/10 experience, from the start even before arriving they are taking care of you. Minas the owner was absolutely amazing giving tips and recommendations around the island, felt like having a new friend! The staff was very nice, Miri woke up at 4am to help us with the luggage…unreal! And Mrs.Tamara was very nice and lovely❤️. The views from our room were so beautiful and we took a lot of photos with the sunset.

Amazing accommodation, fantastic views!

Absolutely amazing place to stay - highly recommend. We cannot thank Minas enough for his outstanding hospitality & recommendations during our stay in Santorini. Fantastic location, amazing views over the caldera & quite central. Stairs involved but we had Miri help us with our luggage both at check in & a very early check out -he was incredible! Special recommendation for the Sunset cruise which Mina can organize - this was probably 1 of the best things we did in Greece!! Would definitely book here again without hesitation if we found ourselves back in Santorini & will recommend to family & friends.

So pleased we discovered this place!

Staying at Amphitheatre Cave Houses was a truly wonderful experience. From the moment our plane landed, we knew we were in good hands. Everything went like clockwork. Minas, the owner, had organised everything for us. We were greeted at the airport by a friendly chauffeur, who drove us as close as possible to the hotel, where we were met by Miri, a strong and capable giant of a man, who carried both our suitcases directly to the hotel reception. All we had to do was follow behind him! There we were greeted by Minas himself, who made us feel very welcome and answered any questions we had. Minas is a true local, very proud of his home and his island, and was very keen to share plenty of hints and tips with us. Our room was just perfect, tastefully decorated in the traditional blue colours of the island, and had all the amenities we needed. It was beautifully clean on arrival, and although we didn't meet Mrs Tamara, the cleaner, she did a wonderful job cleaning our room every day when we were out exploring the island. Lastly, the view is truly amazing, words cannot describe it. We loved waking up every morning and opening the doors to our balcony, and also sat there late into the evening watching the sunset and listening to the distant sound of Greek music and the waves splashing against the rocks beneath. It is a memory that will stay with us for a long time. Thank you to Mr Minas, and his team.
