Aiolos House – Wonderful stay in the heart of Skiathos Town
We are three Italian girls and we stayed at Aiolos House for six nights, from August 1st to August 6th.
The location is absolutely perfect, just a few steps from Papadiamanti Street, the main street of Skiathos Town, yet still pleasantly sheltered from the noise and bustle of the busy centre and nearby nightlife.
Our room was spotlessly clean, the furniture was very well maintained, and the bathroom looked newly renovated. Cleaning was excellent throughout our stay, and towels were changed very efficiently. We also loved the lovely little outdoor area, perfect for having breakfast, and we were especially happy to have a ground-floor room.
The only downside was the size of the room. It was a triple room with three beds — and I must say the beds were high and extremely comfortable, exactly the way I like them! — but the space was quite limited, so moving around was sometimes difficult. The bathroom in particular was very small and there was no bidet, which for us Italians is almost essential, although of course I understand that it is not commonly found abroad.
There was also no wardrobe in the room, but as soon as we mentioned it, the two brothers who run the property were incredibly helpful and, within a very short time, provided us with a clothes rack and hangers so that we could properly organise our clothes. They also kindly offered us another room, but in the end we decided to stay in the one we had.
Apart from the limited space, however, our experience was extremely positive, above all thanks to our wonderful hosts. The two brothers were incredibly kind, warm, friendly and helpful. They treated us so well and truly made us feel at home. Almost every evening we bothered them asking for suggestions about where to eat, and every single recommendation turned out to be excellent.
The sweetest moment of all, and one that genuinely touched me, happened when I asked them where I could eat Pastitsio, a traditional Greek dish I had tried many years ago during another trip to Greece and had never forgotten. When I told them that I had not found it on the menu of the restaurant they had recommended, the following day they surprised me by bringing me a slice of Pastitsio themselves! It was such a thoughtful and lovely gesture that I will always remember.
I am only sorry that I did not get the chance to say goodbye to them when we left.
Aiolos House will always have a special place in my heart. Thank you so much for everything!

Good accommodation
We stayed here for 3 nights at the end of our holiday. The rooms are on the small side but very clean. We stayed on skiathos for the first week and then skopelos for 4 days before returning to Aiolos for last 3 nights. I emailed ahead to ask if we could leave a bag there whilst we visited skopelos and there was no problem with this. They also took us to the airport which was also no problem.
The shower was typically greek but powerful and plenty of hot water. Everybody here was very friendly and i would recommend this accommodation as it's good value for money. It is a 2 minute walk to the main street and 5 minutes to either bus stop 3 or 4.

Friendly, clean, well located, value for money basic accomodation
Can I start by saying, Christos, the owner is very friendly and extremely accommodating. Free transfer to and from the airport. We asked to extend our check out time and he didn't charge us. Value for money, typically Greek room. Room was a decent size. the wardrobe was big enough for our clothes, but there were only two drawers for additional clothes. could probably do with some more drawer space. Small shower room, which flooded the floor each time you showered. The maid was very friendly and cleaned daily, replenishing toiletries as required. Towels and linen were changed every three days. I prefer clean towels each day. Free air con, but be advised there are no safety deposit boxes. Location is excellent for Papadiamanti street only a 2 minute stroll away. The local beach, Megali Ammos, is about a 10 minute stroll. Ideal if on a budget.

Nice, smart and cosy
The apartment was clean, the owner was friendly and helpful. A transfer from/to the airport was provided. The windows are protecting well against the noise in the streets. Due to the short shower curtain the bathroom floor got a bit flooded.
The provided kitchen was practical, even for cooking.
The wifi was perfect with a high bandwidth.

A sweet, secret little spot - with great service!
Aiolis House is so tastefully done and I had the most amazing service from this gorgeous family. I was only there for one night, to catch the early morning flight to Athens, but I was charmed by the clean, pretty rooms and kind attentive family who picked me up at the port and took me at 5.30 am to my flight next day - smiling at that hour! It's tiny and no lift but they did all the carrying. Not a great street and a bit back from the port, but who minds a walk in a Greek island town. (It was last September that I was there tho). Thanks, you lovely folks.
