Excellent family holiday

Zorbas family house is an amazing place to stay,the family are so welcoming and the guests are usually people who have returned time and time again which shows how good it is!! The food available is excellent,the beers are cold and it’s a well stocked bar to suit many tastes,the hill to get to it is tough but well worth the trek up it,lots of lovely tavernas in the area so no real need to venture into town at evening for food,will definetly be returning in the near future,thanks to all the zorbas family and the bar man michealos for looking after us,bye for now

A restful family break.

A real warm and friendly welcome by the family owners. Hill is steep but the steps are easier. Try using wolt delivery for groceries etc, it was a lot cheaper and easier then getting from the local supermarket. Rooms clean and large. Basic cooking facilities that can be used for some great meals. Bar was never overly noisy.

Lovely family run accommodation

I have just returned from a solo holiday here. The family who run it are all very friendly and made me feel so welcome.
I travelled with Tui and struggled to find it initially as I was dropped at bus stop 16 and given a small map to find my own way there as it is not accessible by the transfer coach. Tui will transfer your case for you directly from the airport. Tip for future guests, the turning to go up the hill is directly behind Maistrali Taverna, past the entrance to Avli taverna. The hill is very steep but the views are worth it once you get there.
I asked for a room with a nice view and stayed in room 14. The room was basic Greek self catering which was a little dated in the wardrobe, dressing table and kitchenette, there was a kettle, toastie maker and 1 saucepan so you wouldn’t be able to prepare much food wise. However, the bed and bedside tables were modern and the bed was very comfy.
The rooms were cleaned daily with bed linen and towels changed once during my week long stay. Air conditioning was an extra 8 euros a day if you wanted it and the tourist tax was only 2 euros a day.
The pool area was nice with comfy sun beds and I didn’t see anyone ever have a problem getting a sun bed at any time of day.
The pool bar area was nice and food was served from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and was very tasty. I can highly recommend the chicken gyros which was only 5 euros.
The beach in AP was nice and had an accessibility ramp for people with no mobility.
There were amazing tavernas locally for food. My particular favourite was Kohyli by bus stop 16.
I would definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay

My wig son and I have just returned home after staying here for two weeks we had a wonderful time my wife and I had a apartment and our son had a studio from the minute we arrived till the time we left the family and Michael were so helpful nothing was to much trouble the chicken gyros is the best I'd ever had in Greece the bar prices we found very reasonable our rooms were spotless cleaned every day the pool was very nice to swim in and we never had a problem getting a sun bed , I liked our we could buy 6 x 1.5 litres of water at the bar 3 1/2 € saves carrying up the hill ( that could be a problem iff you have got mobility issues) but taxis are available we paid 27 € from airport to Zorbas thanks to Georgia for getting us a taxis , Michael for sorting out our to use our mobile in Skiathos and the owner for mending our ruck sack hopefully we will see you next year I'll had some photos

Fabulous 3 night break !

What a lovely experience at Zorbas Family House , it was our first time to Skiathos & so glad we picked a gem of a hotel ,the welcome we got was wonderful & our 1 bedroom ground floor apartment more than met our needs , it was spotless .
All the family & cleaners were so friendly ..the pool area was so peaceful , no sunbed wars & the food & drink at the snack bar was great value & the gyros were the best we have had .
The hill is quite steep but stop & enjoy the wonderful views , then carry on .
Lots of nice restaurants nearby & the beach was so easy to get to .
Myself & my daughter & adult grandson would come back here in a heartbeat as we left with lovely memories of a wonderful stay & we can see why there is a lot of returning guests .
