A holiday in "Mamma mia" style
Are you looking for a place of luxury and comfort? Then this is not the place for you.
Dreaming of a lazy holiday, made only of deckchairs and cocktails? Not for you either.
But if you want to explore an ancient village that has remained authentic, surrounded by nature and far from modern consumerism... then seriously consider this residence. The atmosphere is very reminiscent of the movie Mamma Mia!: breathtaking landscapes, silences full of life, and a simplicity that warms the heart.
On arrival you may be frightened by a rather steep and narrow road: do not panic! Following the owner's precise instructions, you will succeed without problems. Then a short walk down a well-preserved mule track awaits you (great exercise and part of the charm of the place!).
Once you enter the gate, you will immediately understand that you are in a small corner of paradise: the lush greenery, the incredible view and the care with which everything was built and maintained speak for themselves. The owners have created this place with love and respect for the environment, and welcome guests with sincere and affectionate attention. You immediately feel “in the family”.
To enjoy the island it is essential to have a vehicle (scooter, quad bike or a small car), from there you can easily reach all the beautiful beaches of the island, one more beautiful than the other. And if you lack a bit of movement, the city of Skopelos is within easy reach.
Highly recommended for those who love to travel with curiosity, spirit of adventure and desire for authenticity.

Very disappointing experience – no swimming pool, no compensation and unacceptable privacy issues
We stayed at Secret Sporades in Palio Klima, Skopelos, from 8 to 16 August 2026, as a group of 14 people occupying three villas.
We chose this accommodation in large part because of the swimming pool prominently advertised and shown in the property’s photographs. For a large group travelling to Greece in August, having a pool was an important factor in our decision to book.
When we arrived, however, we discovered that the swimming pool was empty and completely unusable.
We had not been informed of this before our arrival. Had we been told in advance that the pool would not be available, we would have seriously reconsidered our booking and looked for alternative accommodation.
The explanation subsequently given to us was that the pool had been damaged by an earthquake on 28 July 2026.
What makes this particularly difficult to understand is that the swimming pool continued to be advertised and shown as a feature of the property even though it was empty and unavailable for use.
Given that such an important advertised facility was unavailable for our entire stay, we asked Manlio Bergamini for a reduction in the price. He refused to give us any discount or compensation.
We found this extremely disappointing. We had paid for three villas during peak season in August on the understanding that the advertised facilities, including the swimming pool, would be available.
More seriously, we had a significant privacy issue during our stay.
Manlio Bergamini entered the children’s bedroom without warning while they were asleep. We had received no prior notice that he intended to enter the room and he did not ask our permission beforehand.
As parents, we found this extremely intrusive and completely unacceptable. Whatever the reason for needing access to rented accommodation, we believe guests should be informed beforehand and their privacy respected, particularly when entering a bedroom where children are sleeping.
For us, therefore, this was not simply a problem with a swimming pool. Our experience included:
* an advertised swimming pool that was empty and unusable;
* no warning about this before our arrival;
* the pool continuing to appear in the property’s advertising despite being unavailable;
* refusal to provide any discount or compensation; and
* the owner entering the children’s bedroom without prior warning while they were asleep.
Future guests should be aware of our experience. If the swimming pool is important to your decision to book, I strongly recommend obtaining written confirmation before paying that it is operational and will remain available during your stay.
I would also recommend establishing clearly in advance under what circumstances the owner or staff may enter the accommodation and what notice will be given.
Skopelos itself is a wonderful island and the property is in a beautiful location. Unfortunately, our experience at Secret Sporades was very disappointing and, based on what happened during our stay and how our complaint was handled, we would not stay there again and cannot recommend it.

Unique and breathtaking views for morning coffee and sunset beer
We stayed here for 5 nights and can only recommend it. Upon arrival Manlio was incredibly nice and showed us all the premises as well as gave us a 30mins intro to all the restaurants and must-sees of the island - this saved us lots of time during our stay :). The views from Secret Sporades are sincerely breathtaking and I enjoyed my morning coffee and sunset beer like nowhere else!
Only thing I would recommend is to get a small car as the road to the accommodation is pretty narrow - you will anyways benefit from a small car anywhere on the island!
Parking spots are a few metres walk from the accommodation but reserved for guests.
Can really recommend this accommodation for anybody that is looking for something unique

Perfect for a quiet couple holiday.
Very nice view and quiet.
House not suitable for families due to size and location.
It does not have breakfast while the transportation to the nearest mini market or oven is only by car.

Magnificent experience
Secret Sporades is the right mix of authenticity and “wow effect” for a stay in Skopelos.
The view of the sea from our , as indeed from the whole beautiful , is total , and unforgettable are the sunsets.
Also noteworthy is the "panoramic" swimming pool.
Manlio and his wife were invaluable in giving us useful advice on the island, experience and sympathy.
Highly recommended
