Great experience, would go again.

This hotel, for being rated a 3 stars exceeded my expectations. While the entertainment wasn’t the same as maybe some of the 5 stars hotels with an entire crew of people, the three entertainment people that were there working every day and night were awesome, and very kind. The food was probably the main disadvantage but even then there was something for everyone, breakfast was the most difficult for me to find something I wanted and lunch and dinner often had a variety of items that I liked. While the all inclusive drinks were limited, I still found a drink I liked and had that throughout my holiday. The room was great too, with mesh doors so that you can keep your doors open to let some air in without letting any bugs in. The air con worked great too. The staff were lovely, especially the bar staff, who we spoke to quite a few times. The surrounding area is also really good, with a great beach with more friendly staff, and tourist shops dotted around everywhere. Lots of excursions to go on, I really recommend the trips that include going to Zia, it’s really beautiful there.

Always Our Favourite

Ive not reviewed before and we've been here twice. We're also coming back next year as a couple for our anniversary.
We came in June 2024 with an 11 year old, 8 year old & 3 month old. Then again in June 2025 with a 12 year old, 9 year old & 15 month old who has food allergies.
We adore this hotel. Yes, the beds aren't the comfiest but we're used to memory foam at home its unrealistic not to expect to be a bit uncomfortable towards the end. We stay for 10 days each time and its only towards the end of the stay that we miss our beds.
Food is absolutely fine. One night a week is Chinese themed and its YUM. There's always plenty of variety. AI will never ever be able to please absolutely everyone. Even with an allergy baby he had plenty of options that involved common sense. Tomato based sauces, veggies, chips, meats etc. The majority of staff speak really good English too and you can also get allergy translation cards from allergy UK just in case you do meet a language barrier (though we didnt!) There's fridges in each room so we bought his oat milk in the local shop and could store it in the fridge.
Rooms are cleaned thoroughly & towels changed every other day. Beds are made, rooms tidied up & rubbish emptied on the inbetween days.
Entertainment is on 6 nights a week. Anyone that says otherwise is telling fibs. The entertainment staff have one day off. One. The main man in charge of the entertainment loves his job and puts alot of effort in, you can tell hes really passionate. Theres aqua zumba, darts competitions, football, kids club, face painting, children's disco, music quizzes, karaoke, traditional greek dancing, loads of stuff.
AI drinks include local beer, gin, rum, vodka, soft drinks etc. The normal standard of all inclusive! The two main barmen are brothers and cocktails aren't even expensive. Every day they do a cocktail of the day for €4 each. Which is still an absolute bargain. In the Midlands you easily pay about 8-10 quid for a cocktail. So any whinging on thats a bit irrelevant. Andi & Luli are brilliant, it wouldnt be the same without them!
Pool is kept clean, isn't cold, and theres no fighting for sunbeds at all really. There are odd days where there's a crossover with people going home & new people arriving that it seems to get a bit busier but then it'll go back to normal the next day.
Ive not used the gym on site so I cant comment but my husband did, quite a few mornings, and he'd be done & dusted within about 45 minutes while I took the kids for breakfast. So that's not busy and if it was rubbish he'd not have gone back repeatedly!
Gardeners are pottering around constantly. They clean the paths and water the greenery every morning. There's no hiding that the staff here are taking care of the place.
The room we stayed in last year was definitely more modern than the one this year but they're making their way through them all. But, again, we'd not have rebooked to come back if we didn't love it!
Tigaki is stunning. Its not a party scene; its very calm, family friendly and if you do want to go out for food or drinks etc in the evenings you can! There's water sports locally and kos town is only a bus or taxi ride away. From there you can do the port etc. There's also a waterpark.
This hotel is absolutely what you make it. We choose to go and have a rest AND a blast and every time we come home we're sad that we're leaving, then rebook so we can count down

But nothing special

There were three of us in Gaia Village at the end of September and so we had an apartment. The hotel was very pleasant near the place itself or 40 min bus ride from the airport it is therefore a good option as a tourist destination. Arriving at the hotel we were caught nicely and could still eat in the evening. The apartment was located directly at the relaxation pool by the small kiosk (probs at the kiosk, super practical and not too expensive) and was therefore in the action but in the quiet action. In general, the hotel is in good/normal condition, but the food and its arrangement have really been part of an imposition. The choice was really quite good for a Greek hotel, but the dresser was so lovelessly shredded that you went out to eat more often. However, the restaurant staff was more than accommodating and always friendly. The bar by the larger pool offers free (all inclusive) drinks, but also cocktails to buy, which were really well mixed for 6€ (also offered a specific cocktail every night for 4€, which was really mega for the size). The relaxation pool had a pleasant temperature, however, this was a hotel or an arrival time when many reserved their loungers, so you had to be quick. Unfortunately, the staff did nothing about it. The animation in the hotel was effortless but very little. The children's disco in the evening always went on for 30 minutes, but it was always the same songs with two ladies who danced more reserved in the front. The evening program was standard bingo, karaoke, quizzes. So if you really want a program, you are not in the right place.
In summary, it was a nice stay. The place and the beach are within easy walking distance and offer plenty of options. The hotel would not be in the Petto for a longer stay (8+ days) unfortunately.

I am here now, booked for 11 days, really wish I hadn't the rooms are very dated, the maid comes every day and cleans and leaves clean towels, the location is out of nowhere but very close to the beach (the beach is beautiful though) there's a few shops and bars around, it says all inclusive but it isn't, the cocktails you have to pay for, they do a cocktail a day for 4 or 5 euro, you get on the all inclusive wine, red, white or rose, rum, brandy, ouzo, or beer, (not much of an option) the bar is open from 10 am to 11pm, after 11pm you have to pay, they dont serve iced coffee on the all inclusive, tea and coffee is from 7.30 am to 9pm ( after 9pm you have to pay) so if you like your hot drinks bring a mini kettle! You dont get any free water in your fridge, we bought 24 bottles of water from the shop round the corner very cheap! Food is hit and miss, you will always find something to eat but its not the best, there's entertainment staff in a morning and then at night,.its not the best but they do try there hardest, the staff are very friendly and work very hard all day and night. There are 2 pools and loads of sunbeds (no water slides) personally I wouldn't come here again. On arrival you have to pay tax, 5 euro a night, so there is 5 of us for 11 nights it was 110 euro. If your thinking of booking do some research on the hotel, location, etc, we did hire electric bikes which was really fun and cheap, it cost us for 5 electric bikes 70 euro and you can have them all day till 8.30pm and the battery power is excellent, we rode into kos, around kos and back to our hotel.

Overall a good experience

Requested a low floor as my husband struggles with mobility. Had a 2 bedroom room which was fantastic. Room cleaned daily if required and sheets frequently changed. Staff were very friendly and worked hard to meet the needs of guests. Food was ok but not great. One tip is that there is a microwave at the end of the warm food section which helped massively. Themed night in by hot Ed restaurant which was good. Local town is 5 mins walk away with restaurants and bars. Overall a good relaxing stay. Pool could do being heated as freezing but smaller pool near reception was a bit warmer.
