A nice little studio with great views
A small, cosy studio above Kokkari. Has far exceeded our expectations as some reviews were not so promising.New kitchenette with everything you need.
Large terrace, One has a wonderful view of the bay, the beautiful beach just a few meters from the studio, which is also run by the landlord. There are sunbeds and umbrellas for 10 euros a day, everything is extremely well maintained. A great place , which you should know, it takes 86 steps up to the studio, for people who are not so fit, possibly a problem.
Better to rent a taxi on arrival and departure !

Can you make
The towels were not changed during our five day stay, despite request.
The studio is actually very close to the beach! The young employee was very helpful in terms of navigation around the island. Also, on request, the organization of taxis for day trips, as well as for airport pickup, was ensured.
The area is very safe and you can go for a girls holiday without hesitation, sometimes more fancy.
The beach towels should not be dried on the balconies as you might be lucky enough like me to have several cats on them.... if you know what I mean...
If no use is made of a taxi, here is the indication that the roads on the way to Studio Penelope are incredibly narrow.
The bathroom is a wet bathroom.

Room was fine, but service scarse
We stayed here for 3 nights in July. Our room had a great view to the bay of Kokkari. I'd advise you to make sure to book a room with view, because not all the rooms has the same advantage. There is a small un-organised (i.e. free) beach just down the hotel, in 5 min walk. It is situated up on the hill and the building does not have elevator, so people with people with bad legs should be careful.
The equipment of the room was fine, except that the shower does not even have a curtain. But we paid less than 40 Euro per night in Kokkari, so we did not have high expectation.
The major problem I think was lack of service. They clean only once in 3 or 4 days, so if you stay only 3 nights like us, there is not cleaning at all (they don't even collect garbage). The reception is at Sunrise Beach Hotel, which is in about 3 mins walk with stairs and slopes, so there is a chance that you do not have any contact with hotel staff except for check-in and out.
The room was supposed to have Wifi, but when we stayed it was out of order and in any case I would doubt if it was available in our room (very weak signal).

You been here 2014 and many thing are change during the time passing. WiFi is working well, cleaning is not every day but garbage we care to pick-up even if you stay 3 nights. In studios is not possible to have reception there isn`t place for it because building was built like this. This is reason why reception is in hotel and another side tourist who choose studio there are more independent and mostly don`t need reception. Also in case you need something and you don`t like to came to reception we can communicative by WiFi every easy. So even equipment in the room is much better (new kitchen and shampoo in bathroom). So if you will decade to visit island and Kokkari again you are always welcome

Penelope in Kokkari - best place for holiday :-)
Kokkari is an amazing place tfor holiday with a lot of tavernas and bars. Excellent accommodation in a studio Penelope with spectacular views. A few steps from the sea and from taverns and bars and at the same time very quiet and romantic place. Beautiful bay with calm sea and larger beach with waves short walk from the studio.

Luna di miele in una location meravigliosa.
Molto di piu di quello che mi potessi aspettare, lo studio pur essendo minimale nell' arredo si presenta pulito, accogliente, con un letto ampio e comodissimo. Dotato di tutti in confort.
La piccola struttura si trova sopra un promotontorio sul magnifico villaggio, e si affaccia tra una spiaggia stupenda, raggiungibile facilmente e il piccolo porticciolo dei pescatori. Solo la vista che offre merita la scelta.
Una nota di merito anche a Lucie, la ragazza che gestisce la struttura.
La piccola struttura si trova sopra un promotontorio sul magnifico villaggio, e si affaccia tra una spiaggia stupenda, raggiungibile facilmente e il piccolo porticciolo dei pescatori. Solo la vista che offre merita la scelta.
Una nota di merito anche a Lucie, la ragazza che gestisce la struttura.
