There was many beautiful places in this tour and the road was not boring thanks to the tour guide levani he is a helpful person and he explained everything about the history of the places in an understandable way

Ok accommodation for the price & location
The accommodation was basic but for the price paid & location it was ok.
What was a little concerning was that the day we were due to leave the owner said the road was closed for 2 days to Gudauri (we had organised for him to take us to Gudauri before our stay) & immediatedly asked us to book the rooms online at Old Capital for 2 further days so we had somewhere to stay.
We went to the nearby cafe (Cafe Ornament Express) to do some further research. We asked the staff working in the cafe (roads open) & were very happy to help us organise getting there, we rang the hotel in Gudauri (roads open) & a few other hotels in Gudauri to check (roads open).
As a consequence we found a transfer company (+995555370037) who were happy to take us to Gudauri within the hour.
We have no idea why this hotel owner said the roads were closed for 2 days and did not offer any alternatives/information on how to get to Gudauri. Which was slightly stressful given we had already booked & paid for a hotel in Gudauri.
The roads were covered in snow but our transfer had winter wheels & seemed very experienced & got us to Gudauri fine. The road apparently had been closed for a couple of hours in the morning but by 11a.m had been reopened (not closed for 2 days).
We had a feeling that the hotel owner wanted more money (for us to book the room for a further 2 nights).
Subsequently I would not recommend this hotel as I am not sure I can recommend trusting the owner.

Basic accommodation
Very well located, in city centre just next to the cathedral. It is a B&B rather than a hotel. The rooms are small, our room had a window into a yard so it felt bit claustrophobic. The breakfast is basic but all in all good value for what you pay. Ask for a receipt as the owner doesn't remember what u paid and then asks for money.

Convenient and functional
It is nothing extraordinary but convenient and functional. Good value for money. The rooms and service are allright. We were on the ground floor so no view for us. Location is fantastic, right next to the cathedral and the nicely renovated shopping areas. Just a few minutes walk from the confluence of Mtkvari and Aragvi.

we stay this place at december.
as for the place:
the room was too small and cold.
there were no holder for the shower in the bathroom and it was too closely inside the bathroom.
at night hot water tube were blow out, therefore we were confused in the end of stay when owner asked us pay full amount. for the trip:(
in counclusion i'd like to say that it is not a hotel, the right description is guest house.
as for the owner:
the owner: Georgi will advise you for the sightseeins and help with transfer or anythig you need.
as for the place:
the room was too small and cold.
