The hotel staff are very friendly, Mrs. Nana is a very good cook and host, and her wife is a very good friend.

The hotel building is chosen to make the scenery very special. Neither does the building architecture and quality of the construction hide out that they were worked very carefully. Room heating is good, constant hot water. The breakfast presentation and content are quite adequate and diverse, and if notified, dinner can be removed.

Wonderful welcoming stay

We had a wonderful stay at Northgate. The hotel is super stylish and the shared restaurant and lounge spaces are great for a cosy drink after a long day hiking whilst enjoying the incredible views. The hotel is conveniently located within a short walk to the bus stop, shops and restaurants. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, the lovely receptionist lent me her phone charger after I left mine in Tbilisi and was so helpful when my friend fell ill, the staff really do make you feel like family. Thank you for a wonderful stay! Xx

NORTHGATE HOTEL, OUR SAVE-THE-BEST-FOR-LAST CHOICE

Northgate Hotel Kazbegi was our last-minute deal but it was the hotel we loved the most in our Georgia trip. When reaching Kazbegi after a long drive from Tbilisi, the cottage we already booked before had canceled our booking then we had to find another one. I did not hesitate to immediately book rooms at Northgate as soon as seeing the photo of the hotel overlooking the snowy mountains and Gergeti Trinity Church. And we were not disappointed when staying here. Northgate welcomed us with the warm smile of a beautiful and agile receptionist.
We were so happy to be aranged two clean comfortable and warm rooms. Everything seemed perfect to us. The living room on the 2nd floor had an open and vintage space, the dining room on the 1st floor was so warm with impeccably delicious dishes. The friendly hotel staff and chef made us feel at home.
Many thanks to Northgate for leaving us a deep impression of the a beautiful and friendly Kazbegi.

Nice little hotel with a view of Mount Katzbegi

Location: A little off the main road, about 5 minutes walk to the town center (with supermarket) - quiet location. Parking spaces available in front of the house.
Welcome: We were there at 12 o'clock, which was way too early, but we were given a room straight away. And everything in good English - not a given in Georgia. Very, very friendly.
Room: A little simply furnished, but the furniture was by no means worn. We also had a small balcony.
Breakfast: Basically everything was there, but we found something very basic. There were probably more local things there...
Other: The living room with a view of the 5,000 meter high Katzbegi is really great. Comfortable armchairs from which we watched the sunset - wonderful.
Conclusion: The hotel is a little simple, but it was completely what we paid for. We expected the Hilton here, but were disappointed.

Excellent place to spend your vacation

I've spent there 3 days with my family and I recommend to spend your vacation in Northgate Hotel Kazbegi because it is one of the best hotels in GEORGIA!
Great staff, Clean rooms/bathrooms, always fresh equipment and very delicious breakfast.
