Hidden Wave: A Hidden Gem in El Paredón, Guatemala, Where Tranquility Meets the Sea

We recently came back from a week's stay at Hidden Wave in El Paredón, Guatemala. It's a tranquil oasis for those seeking a serene escape on the Pacific Guatemalan coast. Hidden Wave's location, a stone's throw from the beach, is perfect for unwinding and taking in the natural beauty of the area. We stayed in the air conditioned Queen casita, which was very comfortable and well-equipped, providing a comfortable stay. The lush gardens, offered us fresh coconuts and comfy loungers by the pool, offer the ideal space for relaxation. The staff is attentive and friendly, ensuring a pleasant experience. We were greeted with warm smiles and coffee every morning! Hidden Wave is walking distance to shops, restaurants and bars or tuk tuk's are an inexpensive way to get around town. Whether you're looking for a romantic getaway or a peaceful retreat, Hidden Wave is a wonderful choice to disconnect and recharge in a peaceful environment.

Peaceful poolside casitas right beside the beach!

Loved our stay in the casita! The kids were in heaven having the pool right outside their door! The hosting is fantastic and makes you feel very at home and welcome. Super helpful for organising trips to the mangrove and Antigua and even oven baked pizza recommendations or finding the best shops for fresh fruit etc. Easy walking distance to town, or take a tuk tuk if it's too hot. It's right beside the beach, which is absolutely gorgeous black sand and big waves and super fun for our 9 year old to play in the surf (with close supervision). We happened to have booked our trip during some blockades and the hosts worked to keep us up to date on the situation and made a plan with us and the driver to make sure our trip could still happen safely and with no hiccups to and from the airport. We will be back to learn to surf and have some more fun in the sun. This is a great example of why I always prefer staying at small, more private places instead of bigger party hotels. So so great to get away for some calm, peaceful natural environment, that also is great for kids!

A Quiet And Cozy Spot Waiting To Welcome You

We recently got back from a short trip to Guatemala where we stayed a few days at Hidden Wave, and it was such a nice experience. It's cozy and tranquil, and close to shops and restaurants. Not to mention the beach is pretty much right in the backyard! It's a short walk into town, or you can take an inexpensive tuk-tuk. The staff there are super friendly and helpful, and will even teach you how to surf! I've never surfed before and Sarah made it so easy to learn! If you're not feeling like salt water you can always take a dip in the pool instead. There are fresh coconuts to have if you want and hot coffee every morning. We stayed in the Queen Casita, which offers some more space, AC, and a private bathroom, but the Ranchitos are also nice for those who don't need much. It was definitely a relaxing experience and I would definitely recommend staying here.
