Good budget option near the airport
Hotel is a very budget friendly option. It's an inexpensive and easy Uber ride from the airport. Small double but you’re probably just there to sleep. Yummy breakfast with pancakes, fruit, etc. I would suggest earplugs in case your room faces the street. Good WiFi.

Health and air quality hazard … do not stay in the private room
The moment we entered, the unit was saturated with an aggressive chemical fragrance clearly used to conceal a deeper problem. After removing the scent sources and ventilating for hours, a severe odor of mold, moisture, and fungal growth emerged — likely originating from the ceiling and structural areas.
Exposure caused immediate migraines, respiratory distress, eye irritation, skin reactions, and difficulty sleeping. This indicates dangerously poor indoor air quality with airborne fungal spores, posing real risks to the lungs and overall health.
This accommodation is not safe, not habitable, and does not meet basic health standards. At this price point, this situation is unacceptable. The place has potential, but until the mold and air contamination are fully remediated, it should not be rented.

I used to stay here in the 70s - back then it was rated a 5 Star hotel, rightly so.
I spent a week out of 2 weeks which I paid for.
The room was a far cry from what I knew it as… dilapidated to say the least.
The lighting was poor.
The plumbing in bathroom lavabo was stiff and leaky - finally it just stopped working and the caretaker Alonzo brought us a bottle of water to brush our teeth!
Then there was the terrible earthquake - 5.7!
It rocked that building (we were on 14th flat) as I’ve never rocked before…
It kept rocking with after shocks.
My wife decided we’d had enough and we decided to leave.
I asked Alonzo for our refund of our u used stay and he told us “administration” said they would not refund.
So they kept half of the Q7 k that we paid.
I thought that in the circumstances, they should have returned something.
We have decided to never stay there again…
By the way, the room is only “cleaned” every 3 days and the towels do not smell clean.
They’ve diminished the name of a first class hotel to thrash!
