Cons:
Bathrooms smelled like wet rag, and we were greeted by a cockroach before a shower
Shower took forever to drain
No trash cans in rooms
No hot water or directions on how to access it
Poor communication from host/ booking service

- Fairly convenient location resting up a few flights of stairs from the Main Street of Dubrovnik Old Town
However, despite the charm and location, my friend and I experienced some downsides:
- To start, the host informed us of being able to visit their ‘office’ before check-in, where we would be able to store our bags. However, upon arrival we found that the ‘office’ was actually a luggage storage company that you had to pay for.
- Additionally, the overall cleanliness of the apartment left something to be desired; sour smelling towels, fake eyelash clusters from a previous guest, clumps of stray hairs scattered around the shower, dirt covered bathroom floors and a broken toilet seat put a damper on our stay
- The noises from outside permeated the apartment in a manner which placed us seemingly directly into the conversations of neighboring guests.
- Most ‘shocking’ of all was our experience with the shower. On our second night, we experienced an electrifying sensation when the metal components of the shower were touched - the sensation of electricity flowing into you while showering was concerning. The host responded promptly and sent over an electrician the next morning, but no issue with the electricity wiring was found, & the issue persisted.
All in all, an acceptable place to sleep and conveniently located along a charming Old Town, but nothing more.
