Lovely, Spacious Apartment
We decided to spend 5 nights in the Lapad area and came across the 2 Lorelai apartments situated opposite the cruise port. What attracted me was the furnished patio area with lovely views across the port.
The family who own the 2 apartments went out of their way to make us feel truly welcome and comfortable! I was a bit worried about the huge cruise ships docked in front of the apartment but to be honest, my husband and I started to enjoy and appreciate the goings-on of these huge ships arriving in the morning and departing either late in the afternoon or early evening. We found it fascinating and anyway, we did not spend all the time in the apartment as we were there to sight-see.
Our apartment was spacious, bright, clean and fully equipped for a great stay. Plenty of towels and toiletries were provided. The best part was relaxing after a hot day walking around outside on the undercover patio on the sunbed with an ice cold beer! There are 2 air-conditioners in the apartment but we only ever used it at night to sleep (the heat in July!).
There is a huge bus terminal right opposite the apartment, we bought a ticket for the airport shuttle bus to Dubrovnik airport (72 kuna each, buses run every 40 mins or so), you can also buy local bus tickets (12 kuna per journey, valid for an hour after activating the ticket). Right below the apartment on the street are a few restaurants and a small Premo grocery shop to the left. Further along from the bus terminal is a huge Konzum store which will have everything you need for your self catering apartment.
We highly recommend this lovely self-catering apartment if this is where you want to stay near the port/marina.

muy bien ubicado, enfrente a la terminal de buses. linda vista. departamento amplio y luminoso, bien equipado. buen baño. nos recibieron y nos dieron explicaciones sobre el departamento y sobre la ciudad. los dueños viven en el mismo edificio, mas abajo, cosa que da tranquilidad ante algún inconveniente (que no tuvimos) Un detalle: nos dejaron unas frutas y unos frutos secos a modo de bienvenida.
