Awesome place, awesome staff

We just checked out after three nights at this hostel. As someone who has stayed in 15+ hostels, this is by far my favourite one. The free pizzas are great and the staff are amazing. Ella who works there told us about the best spots around the town and was great to us. Thanks for a great time - Jake & Tom

Beautiful place and the rent scouter works perfect ! We came at the morning and the attention was quick and nice, scouters were great and cheap

Unclear policies, very inconsiderate staff

I booked a 2 night stay on Agoda, but upon arrival they told me I was past their age limit and so they couldn’t check me in. What’s worse: they wouldn’t pay back the fully prepaid amount. Reception staff treated me very insensitive and inconsiderate, showing no compassion or willingness to understand my situation. Not only did I lose my money, I was stuck on an island in the midst of high season needing to book an expensive alternative stay last-minute.
On Agoda the age limit is communicated very poorly. On the Agoda page initially there’s only a minimum age mentioned. Only when clicking through at the very bottom of the info it shows a minimum age range 18-35. But doesn’t even clearly state there’s a maximum age. Villa Skansi is aware of this situation but will not change it, so it looks like it is their business model to deceive unsuspecting travelers into bookings this way. From the other reviews here it seems more people have run into similar problems

Hostel from hell

The hostel experience has been beyond dreadful. The AC was broken when we arrived which they then proceeded to blame us for breaking. We complained numerous times to reception to fix it as the heat was unbearable (it was hotter in the room than it was outside). We tried to stay outside as the room was like a sauna and they proceeded to tell us we couldn’t. This is unacceptable as it should be their problem that the AC was broken. This lasted for two nights and we’re very disappointed about how we have been treated by the staff.

Amazing

Great hostel and great experience. They offer free pizza every night which is such a nice touch and the pizza is actually really good. My friend is vegan and we asked if they could make a vegan pizza for her and they did it which was so nice. Everything was very clean and we saw people always cleaning. The free pub crawl is amazing to get to know people. It's very social. We had an amazing experience and would definitely come back. Sad that we only stayed for one night.
