Heaven on Earth
My wife and I booked a 4-5 day stay and after careful consideration, thought that this hotel would be perfect. However, when we arrived, we found that the Medistone exceeded all of our expectations. We were profoundly impressed. It was perfect!

Unfortunately the worst hotel experience of my life
This was, without a doubt, the worst hotel experience of my life. I booked the "Grand Deluxe Apartment With Private Pool" (breakfast included) for 3 nights in July 2026 through the hotel's official website, for myself, my wife, and our two children (ages 3 and 7). I prepaid 30% of the total cost and received a confirmation email.
Before our arrival, I contacted the hotel directly to double-check that everything was in order. They confirmed the booking and even said they were looking forward to welcoming us.
We traveled 1,200 km from Poland with our young children, only to be told upon arrival that our room had already been given to someone else. I can't overstate how distressing it is to arrive at a 4-star hotel with your family, after a long journey, and be told the prepaid room you booked simply isn't available.
To their credit, the hotel did arrange a replacement — but it was a completely different experience from what we expected and paid for. On top of that, I still have not received a refund for my prepayment, and I had to pay extra out of pocket for the replacement accommodation they arranged.
I would strongly advise against booking Hotel Medistone. I stand fully behind this review under my own name, and I have email correspondence to support every claim made here.

Beautiful location, but unfortunately a big disappointment – the price-performance ratio and service are completely off.
Positive:
The rooms are spacious, and the location right by the sea is certainly a big plus. The public beach in front of the hotel is small and fills up quickly, but the water is clean and very clear. We would especially like to highlight the beach bar next to the hotel; the food was very tasty, and the staff there was friendly and attentive.
Negative:
Unfortunately, our stay left a very disappointing impression overall. Especially the service does not meet the level one would expect given the prices.
Upon our arrival, we were not greeted and received no explanation about the hotel, parking, breakfast, beach chairs, or general procedures. We were merely handed an envelope with information; we had to figure out the rest ourselves. It felt as if we were uninvited guests.
The lady with blonde hair at the reception remains particularly negative in our memory. When exchanging the beach towels, we politely asked for a second towel, as the available towels are very small and one can hardly lay on them at the hot beach. We had seen that several other guests had multiple towels and simply wanted to inquire. However, the reaction was completely inappropriate: Instead of kindly explaining that this was not possible, we were met with aggression and unprofessionalism. One can communicate a rule respectfully - this type of treatment was absolutely unacceptable to us. Especially since the other guests also had multiple towels on the other days. Equality was nonexistent.
Also, at checkout, the same experience with the lady: no hello, no inquiry about our stay, no thank you or farewell, just the bill handed over wordlessly. Additionally, fees were charged that we had already paid through 'Booking.com.' Although we could show the confirmation, it was not accepted, and we were referred to resolve it with Booking. Since normal communication with the lady was unfortunately not possible, we paid again.
The parking situation is difficult due to the very tight parking spaces. Moreover, there is a strong 'see and be seen' atmosphere in the hotel. Filming and photographing is happening everywhere, sometimes with tripods; the hotel strongly resembles an influencer hotspot. For us as a young couple, this is generally not a problem, but those seeking peace and relaxation should be aware of this.
Unfortunately, it was extremely loud at night. Guests next to us celebrated practically every night until the early morning hours, making it hardly possible to think about sleep.
The few lounge chairs on the beach are chargeable (€10 per day) and very limited. The hotel even points out that early reservation is recommended. In order to have any chance of getting a lounge chair, we had to get up and reserve as early as 7:30 AM. This creates a real battle for the few spots every day. The beach service was also disappointing; once the lounge chairs are paid for, you have to take care of the shade yourself throughout the day.
The beach itself is very crowded, which did not bother us personally, as there are also many locals there. However, one should know that it is not a quiet hotel beach.
There is also potential for improvement at breakfast. The selection is very small, not very varied, and the buffet was hardly replenished at times. When we wanted to order an omelet, there were communication problems because the staff member did not speak English, but Ukrainian is spoken everywhere. There is no evening buffet, although the presentation on the hotel’s Instagram page gave us a different impression.
The room is very dark, as no daylight comes in. It feels like a cave. Additionally, after one day, we suddenly had a second bed in the room, without any information or explanation from the hotel. Due to the poor experiences with the reception, we consciously chose not to contact the reception.
Conclusion:
The location is nice and the rooms are large, but unfortunately that is not enough. The service, organization, and overall guest experience do not meet the price level of this hotel, in our opinion. We have been traveling regularly to Croatia for 6 years and have over 60 hotel stays worldwide each year, and we have had many positive experiences, but we have never encountered such unfriendly and disappointing treatment.
For the price, we believe there are significantly better alternatives in Croatia. We would not recommend this hotel.

Disappointed ☹️
Me and my husband Michael (from Sweden) went this year for the second time in July (from 05 to 09 July).
The location is amazing and the beach a dream but unfortunately we cannot say the same about the hotel. Extremely expensive for what you get. This year the hotel was clearly short of staff, only a few spoke English and the food a part from expensive did not meet our expectations.
We fell in love last year and this year we were terribly diasapointed.

Absolutely delightful boutique hotel
The majority of reviews for this hotel are excellent and we concur. This is a fabulous hotel in a picturesque location.
The staff gave a warm welcome and, without exception, were friendly, polite and helpful. Thank you to all of you!
We had a Superior room with terrace which gave us ample space, a very comfortable bed, refrigerator and walk in shower. It was spotlessly clean.
The restaurant and attractive seating area outside have a sea view. It was hard to choose whether to spend time there or on our terrace!
There is a wide variety of food to choose from at breakfast and we enjoyed the evening meals too. Up the hill there is a grocery store which sells basics like fruit, salad, cheese and bread.
We spent 4 nights here in late May. The pool was open but as it was low season the beach bar was closed. It didn’t matter to us in the slightest as we were more than happy with the facilities. Our family came to collect us and they too thought it was a stunning place. We would be more than happy to return.
The staff gave a warm welcome and, without exception, were friendly, polite and helpful. Thank you to all of you!
