Great stay at this apartments
The room was very clean and nicely organized and the balcony had a view to the sea. Breakfast was great, we could choose from omlette, fried eggs with bacon, boiled eggs, Nutella and marmelade. We had coffee and orange juice every morning at breakfast. The Roko apartments are very close to the centre of Podgora.

Immaculate!
We are staying at the apartments Roko. They are absolutely perfect! The rooms are huge, well equipped and spotless.
Situated right on the promenade in the middle of the village you could not ask for a more perfect location. Our hosts, Magda and Alen are very welcoming and can not do enough for us. I have been in Slovenia for a rowing competition, Magda even offered to wash all my wet, dirty kit for me!!!!
The restaurant Roko is below the apartments so it's fabulous to eat an amazing meal then stagger upstairs 10m with a full tummy!!! Very convenient.
Will be booking for next year now- amazing hospitality and great residences!!!

I have also reviewed the restaurant great hosts very friendly greeted us warmly at midnight. Very comfortable affordable accommodation I am definitely planning to stay again, we received a late check out and great service at the restaurant below.

You pretty little thing
Tired of ten days of sites seeing and the insane crowds along the way (the entire German nation and half of the Japanese seem to have had the idea to visit Split and Dubrovnik), we decide to cut short our stay in Dubrovnik and drive back North along the Coastal Road. Since we did this once already on the way to Dubrovnik, we know that private accommodations can be hit and miss, we've had a few of both. However, we had an excellent stay in Villa Mozart (separate review) and we give them a call, unfortunately they are all booked. Verdana, the owner, goes out of the way to help and points us in the direction of Roko.
What a find! Not only is the place super new and clean, but it's funky and right on the beach. We have a one-bedroom apartment with a large seating combination kitchen area, a bedroom and a bathroom, all with beautiful European parquet floors. The bedroom is thoughtfully located on the side street to avoid street noise. Large TV flat screen, not one but two WIFI networks (in case one goes down). Access codes are right there, under the TV. The apartment is generously equipped with virtually everything you need to have a pleasant stay. We don't cook when we travel, but if you are in the mood to cook and eat at home, you have all you need. Alan & Magda are wonderful hosts, Alan always wanting to know if everything is OK and if we need anything. We spend three truly relaxing days, taking long walks on the beach, sipping aromatic coffee in the morning and having fresh fish for dinner in one of the multiple places around, including Roko, the restaurant (separate review). Parking, this rare and expensive commodity in this neighborhood, is convenient and included. Price is moderate.
I noticed an earlier reviewer from Pittsburgh complaining loudly about lack of attention which surprised me because that was in stark dissonance with our experience. Dear fellow reviewer, these people are working their backs off to make living: simultaneously running a restaurant and lodging accommodations does not come easy, especially if you are a small family business. The hosts are nice and considerate, Alan speaks excellent English, everything is super-clean and convenient, what else could your heart desire?! Highly recommended.

Faultless
The apartments are tremendous. Spotless, very well maintained and furnished.
Magda and Alan are prepared to respond to all the questions asked of them and it is true to say that nothing but nothing is too much trouble.
They are fully knowledgable of the local area, indeed, they are like tour guides with advice on what to see and where to go.
Although there are a number of restaurants theirs is understandably highly rated and for sure, you will not go away hungry.
If you visit by car, free parking is arranged and there is no hassle at all.
