2 Nights visit

We were just arrived to Split and walking by the streets and wondering where to find good place to stay. We just stopped at Mainz door by chance!
We get the room that is in first floor (street) and we were so pleased!
It was perfect - Nice room with very nice bathroom! Price and location was good.

Charming rooms

My husband found this place by word of mouth, thank you Tony (Konoba Duboka Ladovina -great restaurant). The managers (owners) are very friendly and helpful. They ever showed us the free car parking zone. Laundromat very close. The price was great and the rooms were really charming. This is the historical part of Split and the building is old yet the remodel was very well done. Air conditioner works well, the rooms are clean and comfortable. I enjoyed the patio, charming. We would definitely use this hotel again.

Excellent service and rooms!

Excellent service!Valentina and Ivica were so very kind and accommodating.There is big terrace where you can sit and relax and enjoy a pre-dinner drink.The apartment to the top of the hill with spectacular views across the town of Split! Thank you to the owners for making our stay enjoyable!

Excellent location

Our hosts Valentina and her husband were so very kind and accommodating. This apt is comfortable and quiet in such a great location to the Riva and all of old Split.
We enjoyed the shared patio outside our room, a great place for wine and sunset.
There are also bikes to rent.
A great tiny bakery a few doors down, market down the hill on right side and good restaurants on same street as Mainz Apt.

First time to Split

Our visit to Split was made better by the apartment we stayed in. It is very close to the city, restaurants, and some of the main attractions. We were even lucky enough to be in town while Game of Thrones was being filmed. The owners of the apartments are very friendly and keep the rooms exceptionally clean. There is a little roof top terrace where you can sit and relax and enjoy a pre-dinner drink. The kitchen and living area are combined in one big room with the bathroom adjoining it, once again all totally clean and in good order.
The apartments are a short stroll to the top of the hill with spectacular views across the town of Split, you can continue to walk around the park (approximately 6K walk) overlooking the ocean and the nearby islands, great way to spend a sunny morning.
We hired a car for the day and drove to the Plitvice water falls, it takes about 2.5 hours each way however I highly recommend it as it was a highlight of our trip.
Thank you to the owners for making our stay enjoyable.
