Welcome to the Bat Cave

First the positives. The host is a lovely lady but just didn't seem to understand that we were not satisfied with the overall apartment. It is close to the beach and port (10mins walk) and 20mins walk to the city beach. There was a little public patio outside the main door which got the sun mid-afternoon. There is a lovely restaurant a few minutes walk away situated in the hotel Villa Diana.
For what we paid for Villa Cambi we expected a higher standard - admittedly we only booked 2 weeks before arriving and many other self catering apartments were already booked. This is a dark unappealing apartment which you have to have the lights on at all times (forget the photo shown by the host), there is no window - only some light through the glass panels of the door and a small window in the bathroom. There were no sheets on the bed (by our standard) we were told that the matress cover (which had holes and was stained) was the cover. we just used the single duvet covers as sheets. You could hardly turn around in the shower. The air conditioning was a wall mounted interior unit which was not adequate for the bat cave. There was not plug for the sink - just had to let the water constantly run when washing dishes. There was hardly any storage place - too many knick knacks around the place just causing clutter. I think the villa is overpriced for the size of the apartment.
I know the owner is going to disagree with me, but this is mine and my wife's personal opinion and we have been to many places around the world.

Un désastre !

Absence totale de service. La propriétaire ne se déplace pas pour accueillir ses clients malgré deux mails informant de l’horaire d’arrivée. Elle exige qu’on l’appelle directement (frais supplémentaires), très désagréable par téléphone. Il faut attendre une fois sur place, sans excuse de sa part. Appartement très petit et sans lumière, confort sommaire, très bruyant (on entend tout de l’appartement d’à côté, le moindre bruit). Toilettes exigus. Il y’a beaucoup d’options plus sympa à Split.
