Really everything perfect, very small problem after a while 'the shower water became cold, nothing that can make me lower the rating from 5 to 4 as the location and the host were great

Not as described and dishonest host

The rooms are not like the pictures, it was dated. The wallpaper is peeling from the walls, there were chunks of it missing / holes in the wall. The bathroom looks nothing like the pictures and is very dated. There is a distinct smell of damp in the room. The furnishing is mis-matched and again nothing like the pictures.
Following my negative feedback on booking.com the host contacted me by phone, text and WhatsApp to abuse me. They have also replied to my negative review on booking.com and implied that I have lied following their refusal to compensate me for steps (never mentioned in the complaint attached below) in an attempt to make it seem like I am the one in the wrong and only left a negative review because they refused my complaint which is also not true. I’m not surprised they have a rating of 9.1 / 10 when they behave this was towards anyone who gives them a negative review. Had I not found this completely hilarious - I would have probably just deleted the review for ease.
Attached are screenshots of my complaint through booking.com as well as the host fabricated response to it in their attempt to deflect.
One would go as far as assuming they have in fact had similar negative reviews as well as comments about the steps and lack of “porter service” and this is their easy “out” response to help deflect when people refuse to be bullied and harassed to take the negative review down.
Wouldn’t go here again if you paid me.

Very clean and well taken care of

Very clean and well cared for hotel, but we do not like the mattress that sink when you lie down.
The hostess was very friendly and helpful giving us various tips on tours and restaurants.
It is a 15-minute walk from the palace and the city's main attractions.
There is private parking on Reservation.
If you have any difficulty climbing stairs, ask for a room on the ground floor.

A hidden gem

This is a little gem hidden down a side street about a 5 minute taxi ride from the centre. The garden is a delight - at least at this time of year. We met three young people in the garden and sat in the shade chatting and getting to know them. It's a little bit of paradise.

Great stay, great location!

Great stay. Perfect location. 10 min from old city, 10 min from Bacvice beach, 5 minutes from bakery and market. Basic and comfortable in a quiet neighborhood. Ivana, our host was easily accessible via WhatsApp. She organised a pick up from the airport and we could leave our bags on the lobby on our last day when we went for a swim. My wife and I will definitely stay here again.
