Fantastic Apartment
Upon arriving I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that this was not in fact a hostel but a private apartment, with Air Conditioning, English language TV channels, a superb kitchen and a very central location. The owner was very nice and accommodating. The beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless. Unfortunately we only had one night in the apartment.
I would recommend this to any group traveling to Split.

Pleasant rooms, but poor owner!
First of all, the room itself is pleasant to sleep in and we liked that it had an ensuite and a mini kitchen. However our sheets were not changed nor the bathroom cleaned once the whole 8 days we stayed. However this was not the problem.
The owner of rooms Laura did not speak a word of English and several times made us feel very uncomfortable. We payed the full amount once we arrived apart from 350 Kunas which is around £35 (baring in mind we had already paid £300) due to my card malfunctioning but of course she did not understand this, and then proceeded to threaten to kick us out in two days time until we paid, whilst hovering around our room 24/7 and making remarks about the time of day we would leave the apartment.
Furthermore, my friends bag got stolen with her phone, purse and room key in it- not only was there no one present throughout the night at the hostel in case anything goes wrong (so we had to sleep outside!!!), the owner was completely unsympathetic and merely asked for 80kunas for the room key via the maid.
Finally we had an outbound flight back home at 8pm yet had to check out at 10am which we thought was fair, but she refused to let us keep our bags in the hostel so we had to carry them round with us all day in the sweltering heat and never thanked us for staying.
Fair to say we do not believe this establishment has there priorities in order particularly regarding the language barrier. Overall the rooms were pleasant, but the owner ruined the whole experience for us to the point where we would feel we needed to stay out the entire day just to avoid her gaze and judgement!

very good!
the rooms are lovely at this hostel! it is actually not like a hostel at all and more like an apartment which is quite nice. the rooms were very clean and even had a tv with english channels which we didn't expect from a hostel! the aircon was a lifesaver especially in the heat of a Croatian summer. we had seen online that the hostel had a shared kitchen area and a hot tub however we didn't see this anywhere which was a little disappointing. also the owner cannot speak very good English and although she manages to communicate quite well but this may not be ideal if you have many questions.

Nice room, bad service
On the website we were informed that there was a shared kitchen area and we assumed this meant we'd at least have somewhere to cool our water, we were wrong. The host was also unable to understand much English which made asking her any questions very difficult.
The room was clean and the bathroom too, but the double bed was made of two single mattresses put together which was slightly uncomfortable and awkward to sleep on.
