Exceptional hotel and service, highly recommend
Hotel Bhoomivilas made my trip to Agra extra special. Before arriving they made sure to text me for my arrival time such that once I arrived they knew exactly who I was, saving time in the check in process.
The staff really went above and beyond, Rohit in particular really made my Agra trip and even my overall 10 day trip around India extra special. Many thanks for the glimpse into local Indian life, it is something I will never forget. Thank you Rohit!
While staying in the hotel I was given a complimentary room upgrade. My room was exceptional. Super clean from top to bottom and the bed sheets were the cleanest and newest I’ve had in India. Additionally the bed and pillows were all memory foam and I had the best nights sleep.
The air conditioning was perfect and outside noise was minimal. The location was very close to Taj Mahal and really just past the place where all the local taxis and autos gather to pick up tourists.
Oh yeah, also the hotel has a rooftop pool which I didn’t get to use. Though I did visit at night time and you could see the Taj Mahal in the distance.
10/10 highly recommend, I would’ve happily paid double. Many thanks Rohit, many thanks Hotel Bhoomivilas

Worst Hotel I’ve ever stayed at
Booked this hotel through Expedia for family stay over Xmas. The hotel promised roof bar and pool and restaurant.
Staff at the Hotel were pleasant enough but appeared surprised that they had any guest booking in.
Once in the room we noticed that we were unable to lock the door and leave it secure. There was no safe in the room and the room itself was freezing.
Pillows were torn and appeared unclean and most of the room felt like it needed a deep clean.
The window of our room looked out on a building site and had smears of mud on the outside.
The second room we had had exposed wiring where the light switch should be and you could only turn the lights on and off from outside the room.
Inside the main part of the room there was a worrying amount of black mould.
As said before this was advertised as having a working restaurant and a roof bar and pool. None of this was in working order.
We staying in this hotel for a total of 45 minutes before booking another hotel and got out of there.
The only reason this has one star is that the staff were polite.
None of the photos advertising this hotel reflected what we experienced.

Booked this hotel as it was near the Taj Mahal and had a restaurant, roof top bar and pool.
Booked for family of four over Xmas period. On arrival staff were polite but appeared at a loss that they had guest booking in. We quickly found out that the restaurant was not in working order and the pool and roof bar were also not usable.
The hotel was unclean and appeared to be still in construction with boarding still up blocking doorways.

Pictures are misleading
The rooms which were given to me wore an old look as though they havent been maintained for years. The wall sockets were hanging from their wires. The toilet seats were filthy and the washrooms were stinking. The towels were dirty and they dont even have an operational kitchen. We asked for a heater and were provided a broken oil filter for which they charged ₹ 500. Washroom fittings were so corroded as though no one has bothered to clean them ever. I will not recommend this place to anyone though its located just 500 meters away from the east gate of Taj Mahal.

Comfortable and satisfactory stay
Location o wef the hotel is a major plus point. The view of the Taj Mahal from the roof top was mesmerizing. The rooms were clean and the staff was very cooperative. The food was also really good as i had my fill in the morning. Overall a better experience than expected
