A Real Taj Gem
My room was lovely and spacious and oh so sparkling clean with a heavenly bed. The staff were exceptional, so kind, caring and accommodating. I had a beautiful birthday dinner on the rooftop and there was some music entertainment Breakfast was very decent and the chef does an awesome omelet. T.C. Who manages the rooftop operation is a lovely gent with a very colorful career history. Front desk staff granted me a late checkout . I can’t say more than a very sincere Namaste to all. If I had one suggestion at all, it would be that the contact numbers given on the hotel site for email etc be reviewed and responded to as I sent a few communications concerning my birthday of which I wanted to arrange a special evening yet none of my messages were acknowle

An absolutely memorable dining experience from start to finish. The chef Pankaj Yaolar truly delivers exceptional dishes—every plate was beautifully presented and full of incredible flavor. You can really feel the passion and creativity in the food.
The service by Hakim Sinah ,was just as impressive—attentive, friendly, and always making sure everything was perfect. A special mention to the manager Op Yaclar, who was welcoming and made us feel genuinely valued throughout the evening.
To top it all off, the live music by Om Prakamsh created such a wonderful atmosphere, adding the perfect touch to an already fantastic night. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great food, outstanding service, and a vibrant ambiance.

Safe, clean and friendly staff.
Disclaimer, we didn't stay here overnight as we were just passing through Agra on our way to Varanasi from Jaipur.
However, we found the hotel via Chat GPT whilst travelling as a good option to set up base. The staff kindly allowed us to leave our bags here whilst we explored Agra and visited the Taj Mahal. We had lunch here, which was great. We also made use of the pool showers for a small fee.
The receptionist kindly arranged a taxi for us to a remote toll booth where we were to board our night bus. The diver was exceptional, and despite our bus being an hour late (not arriving until around 1am) he stayed with us and made sure we got on safely, even called the bus driver for us. He really went above and beyond.
The hotel was clean and friendly. We didn't stay, but we made use of the exceptional service and the welcoming atmosphere. Thank you!!

If you are planning a trip to Agra or booking on behalf of clients, think twice before choosing Hotel Taj Resort Agra. While the location near the Taj Mahal is convenient, it is essentially the only positive aspect of the entire property. As a professional travel agent, I recently booked a client here based on glowing online reviews, and it was a complete disappointment. This was unfortunately our second bad experience with this property, and it will definitely be our last.
The rooms are extremely cramped, uncomfortable, and far below expectations, while the hospitality and overall service fall completely flat for the price you pay. Worse yet, the hotel operates an in-house marble shop that feels designed purely to extract extra money from unsuspecting tourists. They staff it with high-pressure salespeople who aggressively pitch ridiculously overpriced items to guests.
Travel agents spend significant time, effort, and money on marketing, SEO, and trusted platforms like TripAdvisor and GetYourGuide to earn client trust. Sending clients to a hotel that takes advantage of them with predatory sales tactics damages that hard-earned reputation immediately. This hotel relies strictly on its proximity to the Taj Mahal rather than providing proper hospitality. It is not recommended for independent travelers, and absolutely not recommended for travel agents looking to protect their clients' experience. Save your money and book elsewhere.
